Question about Sony Ericsson S500i Phone

Can not get sim card in the phone at all.

It feels as if something maybe in the way of it.

Have you tried cleaning where you would normally put the SIM card?

Try sim card someplace else - if it also does not work then the card is bogus. If works, then something is wrong with your initial device.

Or maybe your phone is only designed to work with certain carrier sim cards and phone has to be unlocked to work with other carrier.

there maybe a problem with your Sim card check with your Network Operator as your sim card maybe damaged or accidentally removed from the network provider

1) try to use another SIM card, maybe the SIM card itself have the problem. 2) or use other network SIM to make sure that you're phone is really working. 3) if still not working maybe you're phone is dead set.

Phone is saying insert sim but it is already inser?ed


That means that your sim card is either not capable with this phone or that the sim card is broken.

One question: when did you get the phone?

I bought a BLACKBERRY 6230 off ebay and put my sims card in but it dont read it or maybe im doing something wrong, HELP


It could be that the phone is locked to a particular network and needs unlocked to use it on your own network.

If the phone is unlocked or is on the right network it could be that the phone has been blacklisted for some reason.

First I would try a few different SIM cards to see if it is your SIM card or the handset.

If it is the handset then contact the eBay seller for replacement or refund.

Iphone not reading my AT&T sim card when it's inserted


It could well be just a bad SIM card. I'd just drop into your nearest AT&T and ask them for a new one.

I have a motorola razer cell phone that has been working fine. today i had just talked with some one on it and it diplayed INSERT SIM i have tried taking battery out and sim card and re-inserted it...


I had this same problem with my razr adn I hated that phone because of it. Make sure the sim card is pushed in all the way. Clean the contacts on the sim card itself (you know the gold parts) and make sure the contacts where it meets the phone are clean also. Make sure the metal part that holds the sim card in is securing the card close to the phone and it's actually making contact.

It always just took some fiddling like you are doing to get it working again, but the problem never went away. Do you have insurance on your phone? Maybe you can replace it or upgrade it based on which plan you have and which provider you use. I would never buy another razr because my husband and I had about three of them total and they always had glitches.

Even if this doesn't solve the problem, I hope it makes you feel better to know that you are not the only one feeling the pain!

maybe your o2 sim card is not compatible to your phone.. if ist working toother phones maybe theres a software for that to be able to work..

Well if you have ever took a part the phone maybe the sim card has slipped down a little bit , if not maybe the sim card has been blocked or cancelled .
