Re: Philips Projection HDTV 51pp9303h/17
STKs in your set should be on same board that has tuners on it board you connect cable too.If different model they will be on board to very right end STK ICs are big black chips Two of them together.will have part number on them.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Most likely the power supply is bad. It tries to start but does not get up to voltage and then it realizes this and shuts itself down. Either that or the heat sensor is detecting an overheat condition caused either by a faulty fan if your set has one or by excessive dust build up or a bad IC chip
It seems that your TV's memory IC has damged. If this IC got damged, no fromt panel or remote signals will work. It is a small IC . It can be found very near to channel selector main IC [System control]. It is very cheap to buy. But replacing it is a skilled work. You have to contact any experienced service technician to get it replaced. This IC controls most of the functions in the Tv. OK.
first you have to check 24v dc on power supply board.if power board 24v ok then there is one ic link on inverter board.check is this ic link ok or not if its open then replaaced it.check one end of ic link 24v dc come?
s fixed !!!!!!! the problem was a bad relay. Upon inspection of the relay (read that I took out the relay and broke it open) one of the coil wires suffered from a cold solder joint from the factory!!! I replaced the relay and its been running for about three hours without an issue!! Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions, except the a$$hole who suggested a sledge hammer.....
When the picture resembles an hour glass in shape, it's generally a problem in the pincushion correction circuit.
The jittering in the picture at high volume levels indicates a problem
in the regulator circuit which can also cause the problem with the
bowing so I'd say you're got a problem with the regulator IC which is
most likely and STK type IC and should cost around $125.00 to repair.
The Tv clicks and CRT comes on for a second before it goes into the protection shutdown. The LED flashes 6 times and sometimes 7 times. I checked the voltage accross IC501 as suggested in other posts and one of the votages is higher thatn it should be. thesymptom for the 6 LEd flashes suggest overscurrent and bad IC 504. I don't know how to meassure the voltage on the IC504 however as it has 4 prongs instead of three. My question is if there is something that may be causing this. Please help! I can offer you the Service manual for the KV series TV in return...
you seem to be a techanical person
so answer is purely technical.
Clicks but crt does not turn on
1 check whether power supply out put is ok.by disconnecting h/output
2 if it is ok check hor. section that is eht is ok or not as without eht crt will not glow.
check crt supply &loose connection in crt base.
Sounds like you lost your video. Causes could be a vodeo switching IC, a PIP module if the set has PIP Or a fault in the video jungle IC. To fix this problem I would highly recomend you take the set to a trained service person, as there are safety issues to deal with , as these sets hold alot of hi voltage even after the sets unplugged. Better safe then sorry. Good Luck
