Question about Apevia Computers & Internet
I have an Acer Aspire 5630 with a new battery, and charger, it recently developed an issue where when the laptop is booted up, the charging circuit cuts off, I tested both charger and battery and they work fine, this issue is not software related, so I need to know if I can revive it!
Yes, it seems that your laptop does not have sufficient wattage for your laptop. So purchase the correct Acer Aspire 5630 ac adapter from prefessional laptop charger online store. You may choose the fit one from the following two chargers on the basis of your laptop model and the detailed specification of original charger and confirm your need a 90w adapter or 65w adapter:
Replacement Acer Aspire 5630 AC Adapter 90Watt 19V 4.74A
Replacement Acer Aspire 5630 AC Adapter 65Watt 19V 3.42A

it sounds like the charger does not have sufficient wattage for your machine. i would try getting a certified acer power supply.

I'm sorry to say that your initial fears are correct and the pin that the adapter connects to in the laptop is loose. This is a common problem with laptop's and can be easily dealt with.
Now I'm not going to tell you to open the laptop up and de-solder the adapter (unless you want me to).
Because this is a fiddly job and you have to order the correct adapter i recommend you take it to a reputable repair store and have them replace the adapter for you, don't let them tell you that you need a new motherboard as this is not the case at all, adapters can and do get regularly get fixed and is not that expensive.

Hi, this could be an unhelpfull suggestion but the charger may not be compatable with your laptop. Laptops notoriosly have different power settings, you may be forced to purchase a new Acer charger. Try ebay, you may be lucky
