Question about Sony Bluetooth Headset for PlayStation 3
Ok so the headset wouldnt pair up with the playstation for the longest time... finally i got it paired, now it just wont stay on. I dont know if the mic is dieing or if the wifi in the mic just isnt working properly. when its on but wont connect it will play low tones if i touch the power button on the mic. the green light wont flash if its on so im not sure whats going on with it. i didnt have this problem tell i updated my ps3 and now its screwy. ive deleted the mic and reconnected it. ive tried about everything and still nothing seems to keep it connected. any takers?

SOURCE: headset wont pair with new ps3
is this bluetooth
if it is blue tooth you have to hold blue tooth power on while the pairing mode is searching for headset
if its a cabled headset threw usb you gotta put in your disk for say example= logitech since these are common
the playstation has memmory card that stores the settings but requires you at least set up usb head set parameters either to ps3 or your memmory cards properties
your headset is fine you just require a new hardware setting with the disk that came with your head set

OK I FIGURED IT OUT!!! First turn off the system(ps3) make sure that you take the batteries out of the remote. Then when you turn it back on go straight to system setting, setting accessories, setting blue tooth device. AND THEN IT WILL TELL YOU TO HOLD DOWN THE START AND ENTER BUTTON DOWN!. Don't forget to put the batteries back into the remote. It took like 3 seconds.

i fixed this problem by enter "0000" (four Zeros) as the passkey, it accepted it and it didnt ask me to enter the passkey on the remote device ie the headset ,which is handy as it doesnt have any number keys ;)
it then added the device and it stayed on teh "added devices" list!
hope this helps

Read this very carefully. Turn off your ps3 from the back. Then turn it back on wait unit the light is red. Turn on the system through the front keep holding the power on. You will hear a beep one time that just tell you that the ps3 is powering on keep holding the button until you hear the second beep this will rest your video setting. If that dosnt work call me at sony
