Question about Washing Machines
About 2 weeks ago my machine stopped emptying during cycle, it would stop and still be full of water,up until yesterday we could manually drain the machine so it was ok then that stopped working as well and i got the start/delay start flashing 3 times which pointed to a pump failure i removed everything and cleaned and still had the same problem so i replaced the pump today and its still the same.when i put it on to drain i get the click but nothing at all happens after a few minutes i get the 3 flashes again. any ideas what i can do?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

SOURCE: Hi my Hoover Nextra 6
the lights indicated a blockade, remove the front panel at the bottom to reveal a drain plug, the blockage is most likely at the back of the drain plug as the drain motor impeler sits directly behind the plug.
