Vertical lines on Mitsubishi 62" DLP

Mitsubishi Model # 62525 is getting vertical lines. Lines seem to minimize after T.V has been on a while. 1080i looks good 480i the lines are worse. Most of the time the lines scroll some times they hardly move. Blu ray shows lines also. Depends on the scene. Set is 4 years old. Any suggestions?

Why are the lines worse at 480i compared to 1080i?

it has to do with the way mitsubishi converts everything to digital.the lower the frequency, the more noticable the distortion

Mitsubishi WD-62825 vertical lines, blue snow, picture jumping

I have the same problem with my tv, my tv tech said mitsubishi knows of the problem and knows how to fix it, but it would cost me 700.00 plus his labor to take out the chassis and send it in to mitsubishi, plus I would be without a tv for up to a month. this is b.s.
