D-LINK is the router.
Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port. Then connect pc to any other port. Done!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

How to hook wired router to cable box. What is WAN outlet

all of your computers should get hooked up in ports 1-4 and the WAN port should be hooked up to your broad band router from your internet service provider. so if your first computer is hooked up to port 1 just plug your second into port 2 and every thing will work fine.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,
Norse

Internet intermittently going down

Hello,

Before going out and buying a new router, you should try reseting this one.

There should be a small pin hole on the back of the router, stick a pin in there to set it back to factory settings.

You can also check the WAN connection to make sure it isn't loose.

Thanks,

Pat

You need to hook up the AC power supply to your router, hook up your cable modem to your router, there should be a specific port on your router, most likely yellow in color, you'll hook the modem to the router using the supplied ethernet cable, it looks like a big phone cord.

Has my router gone bad?

If no power lights come on... it looks bad, but try another power adapter on the router before tossing it... could be that.

Setting up router

The Alltel must hook to a wireless source. Your D-link could be that source, but then it needs to be hooked to a source. If you have a wire coming to your house you should hook this to the Wan port on the D-link. Then your computer will hook to the d-link. It then should be setup with codes for security.

Have I confused you yet? In answer directly to your question, yes your Alltel will work with your D-link. But your D-link will then be your wireless source.

Where are you getting your signal from now?

Which d link router do i need to be able to hook up to internet with visa?

I fail to see what difference a brand name makes here. So long as whichever router you have is compatible with the equipment provided by your ISP you should be good to go.

NEED HELP ASAP!

The PC and Mac don't interact when they are connected to the router. The router provides a DHCP server, and the PC and Mac should simply log in to the router and run fine. If the router is a new addition too, you'll need to connect the WAN port on the router to your DSL or Cable Modem's ethernet port... and then hook up the computers to any of the open ethernet ports on the router. An ethernet port looks like an extra large phone cable connector.
