Audio install

I would say that your system should run it. Depending on what version you are trying to run, you exceed the minimum requirements (For processor).

If your able to get it up and running I may suggest that you change the acceptance for Rosetta in your firewall (Assuming that you have one running). It could be the reason that you cannot activate.

If you have exhausted all other solutions. Call Stone Systems and we have the Wyse software to re-image almost all of their models including the "S" and "V" class thin client terminal. We can even take units that nobody else can fix and return them to factory default.
Normally....$25.00 each

My CD/DVD drive is not reading Rosetta Stone - Espanol Edition. It stars and spins, but then stops. OS: Vista SP2 Disk Drive: Unknown RAM: 3 GB - DDR2

Try playing a music CD to see if it works. Then try playing a DVD ( a DVD movie ) and see if that works. If the CD works and the DVD doesn't then your CD/DVD drive is probably the problem and needs to be replaced.

I installed Rosetta Stone and got the error 2123, is this a driver problem?

Hello my friend.Usually this error is cause because antivirus is blocking that program and usually bitdefender. So
1.Open BitDefender Antivirus in Expert Mode,
2.Click on the Antivirus tab
3.Under the Shield tab click on the Advanced Settings button.
BitDefender Active Virus Control Settings window should be displayed
4.Now add an exclusion for Rosetta Stone(click on + and find your program and click ok)
If you don't have bitdefender add an exclusion like we did with bitdefender for your rosetta stone

Why does my icon have a shield in front of it and how do i take it off

In Windows Vista, all icons that have the shield mean that you need to have administrative rights to open that program.

To remove the icon,
  1. Launch MSCONFIG from the Run menu("Start" button + "R"

  2. Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC" . Click on that line.
  1. Press the Launch button.
  2. A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.
  3. Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

Where can I download a patch for starwars battle front II that allows me to play it on a vista computer.

There is no patch, but supposedly this is the process for getting the game to work in Vista:

Many Vista users including myself have claimed Battlefront II won't work in Microsoft's latest operating system by a year, Vista. The alleged problem was that when attempting to play any game (load a map), whether online or single player or compaign, the map wouldn't even load- the game would immediately stop and "crash" to the desktop (meaning the game just closed). But the Menus work fine in Battlefront II, so why can't any games, meaning maps, load?

People have found some solutions. Some people say that disabling sound within the game solves the loading issue, which it does, BUT all future gameplay is without sound. I've found a solution to the problem, at least for some Vista users who may find themselves lucky as I did.

Here's my solution. Keep in mind this is for Windows Vista users ONLY:

Go to START,
then click on CONTROL PANEL.

Be sure you aren't under "classic view" for the control panel. You know if you are not in classic view if you see categories such as "System Maintainence" and "Security." If you haven't tampered with the settings, then your most likely not in the classic view.

Anyway, then click on HARDWARE AND SOUND,
and then click SOUND.
A window will pop up.
Navigate to the RECORDING tab in the top,
then RIGHT CLICK on some open white space
and select "Show Disabled Devices."
Hopefully, if you are still in the RECORDING tab,
a new icon will appear called "STEREO MIX."
RIGHT CLICK on the SETEREO MIX icon and select "Enable."

And wippity bang! Hopefully, this guide was of some help to other once-hopeless Vista users. Happy playing, and may the force be with you all!
