Question about Dishwashers
I have a Bosch-built Kenmore dishwasher (630.13902011) that is sending an error code E 24. I have blown and sucked out the drain tube and replaced the drain pump. When the washer first starts the pump does discharge water remaining in the sump area (I can feel the water coming out in the under-sink disposer). Then there is a pause followed by a slightly louder noise (more like a soft grinding) for about 7 seconds. If I do nothing, the E24 code appears. If I open the door and shut it, the dishwasher continues through all cycles with no further problems (water drained, dishes clean, etc). Does the control board need to be reset?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Greg, if the model number ends in GO1, your dishwasher has a piston nut assy. thats problably giving you the grief. If this assy. goes bad you will have water left in the tub at the end of the wash. A common GE problem. It's located under the filter screen in the back and just unscrews out. Part number is wd24x199. It's an easy fix. Look up the part on the net to get an idea of what it looks like. Catriver..post back.

The fill valve is probably stuck in the full position. It's at the bottom of the tub and looks like a small tube with a cap on it. You should be able to move the cap up and down easily.

Try looking for slithers of glass etc under the impeller. Remove the sump covers (filters) and look into the bottom. There will probably be a small cover held down by a screw. Under this is the impeller. Roll up a hand towel into a cigarette shape and slide this under the impeller - that should clear anything out.

disassemble the top of the dishwasher pump, remove the bottom spray arm and remove the screws on the top of the pump housing this will get you started

holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money
