While backpacking, I personally use a cartridge stove because it is really easy to carry around and also I there's barley anything I need to do in order to maintain it. You can read about the different kinds of cartridge (canister) stoves on this website:

Where can I buy a picnic backpack from? I heard about them and think they would make a great gift for my parents who love to go on long trips.

You should look at the Picnic Fun site. They have a range of picnic backpacks that have all the equipment of regular picnic baskets but look much easier to carry.

Oven trips circuit breaker

If you are in the UK (I'm not sure if this will apply inthe usa) an electric cooker usually requires a separate circuit back to the mains board. If you are plugging it into a 13 amp socket outlet on a ring main it may be totoo heavy a load.

Whirlpool accuwave oven & hood totally quit

I don't know about the fuse on the stove but check and see if its still plugged in and make sure that the wiring is sound and then go to the breaker box and see if the breaker is tripped. And Most electric appliances have a safety fuse somewhere.

I'm going on a hiking trip to the woods, which camping chairs is recommended for me?

I'll advise you to get the lightweight camping chair; it's easily folded into every backpack and it's very lightweight which will make you carry much less weight during your hike.

Kitchenaid Dishwasher trips the 60-amp main breaker but not 20-amp.

Its possible that there may be load on that circuit from other appliances. Had an issue myself with stove and laptop on same circuit.
Check other appliance attached to the 60amp circuit (microwave, stove, kettle etc)

Maytag MGR series double oven gas burner trips GFI outlet. There is no direct shorts. Would work when bypassed GFI. but not for long. Now nothing and gfi replaced. Stove fried last one. Stove running for...

the manufacturer recommends a 15 amp time delay breaker or fuse. Which means to me that a GFI outlet will not work on this unit. most of the time it just causes more problems than it is worth? I would only use those type of outlets if code required it.

How to pack an open cockpit kayak

Your main considerations are waterproofing everything. Bags within bags is the order of the day so to speak. Travel light and justify everything you pack for it's usefulness. Pack things you will need during the day closest to the access hatches / cockpit, with other items packed deeper in the bowels of the craft.

Check the trim of the boat once packed. Look at it from the side as it is floating. It should be ever so slightly stern heavy. If it is bow heavy it will be very difficult to steer.
