Squealing from battery operated thomas the tank train

We have a battery operated "Lady" from Thomas the Tank and Friends. Today she began "squealing" when she is turned on. Although when you put pressure on the back wheels it stops squealing. Any ideas how to get it to stop it without the pressure?

SOURCE: I have tried to change the battery in Thomas but this seems impossible! I think it is 2002 model. I bought it for my grandson at a car boot sale today and it is in lovely condition but the battery is

Take the wheel base of the train in one hand. Point the' face straight up. Place your other hand on the top with you index finger on Thomas' face. Push down towards the ground with the hand on the top, and then pull apart. There is a little tab on the back that you need to get over. Some times the first time is the hardest.

I bought a thomas engine it has 2005 Gullane (Thomas) Limited. Replaced the batteries but it still doesn't work it has a small hole on the left side top that has a drop of water (I think it is for wat

Unscrew the screw under Annie, then pull on the top part of Annie to reveal another section where more batteries go. put water in the hole on top of Thomas, not the funnel, but there's another small hole on the top of Thomas. Now Thomas will puff steam! You are lucky to have found this train, he is super fast and very unique because he puffs the steam! we have one, unfortunately my youngest son broke the chassis that connects Thomas and Annie, so it no longer works properly. You will need a dropper to put the water in Thomas.

Electric train set stop and goes when it goes over certain parts of the tracks do I need to clean the tracks or the wheels and what do I use to correct this issue?

1: make sure all track connections are tight.
2: clean the track using a Green 3M scratch pad
or a track eraser.
3: clean your wheels, some people use smoke fluid
on a cloth, I use alcohol prep pads,. A track eraser
can also be used. there are commercial wire brush
cleaners that connect to your power source.

How do I change the battery in a motorized wooden railway engin for thomas the train

2 options.

1.if its the kind that fits on the wooden track look for a screw (philips/star screwdriver) on the underside of Thomas near his face. The body shell should lift off.you will then see the battery.

2 If it's the plastic blue track you have to squeeze the right center wheel and left center wheel. Thomas has 6 wheels so the 2 center/middle wheels, after squeezing this will then make the top portion pop off.
