It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough, take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<

buy a new solution tank. the problem might be that your not rinsing the tank with clear water after use and the soap hardens on the release button of the tank.

this is a great vacuum. however it does require an extensive cleaning every now and then. diaassembly is required for this. there is a hose that goes from pick up to the tank. make sure this is clear. also your filter should be clean and dry.

Hi, how do I check my hoover floormate deluxe spinscrub's filter and motor?

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Floormate stopped vacuming water

I'll answer last question first. Your floormate has a 1 year warranty. And should be taken in for repair.

Your issue of not picking up water, is related to suction and getting the dirty water to the recovery tank. check for obstruction in the nozzle, check the filter for debris clogging. If you have an issue with this dealer I would call customer support.

Troubleshoot floormate spinscrub 800 floor cleaner

The brushes are not designed to scub the floor, they only lightly touch the floor. Make sure the front nozzle is put on correcdtly. Make sure your filter is dry and clean. I wet filter will give poor suction down to the nozzel. Down load the manuel at Hoover.com. The model is located on the back of the unit. H3000, or H3010

Check for the filter in place and it also requires a filter lid for proper suction or it will not work
