Hi. I attached the Flex-Shaft to the 395 and started it up. I immediately heard the device straining to rotate but it wouldn't budge. I then switched it off as quick as I could but unfortunately it looks like the damage was done. The 1st like 4 threads on the rotator (the thing that actually spins, not sure if that is the correct term) are somewhat smooshed together. Because of this once a collet is inserted the collet nut cannot be tightened over it as it cannot grab the threads. This leads to 2 questions:
1. Before taking it apart any opinions on how hard it might be to replace this part? Like is it 1 simple piece or is this going to be major surgery?
2. Any suggestions on where to get parts? I am having all kinds of problems at Dremel's Web site and can only find a parts list for the 400 Series XPR.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

I would send it back to Dremel, they have been AWESOME to do business with, I have sent in 2 of my rotary tools, and because they couldn't be fixed, they sent me new ones at no charge, also, just bought one of their 4" table saws (off ebay) that didn't come w/an owners manula, I emailed Drwemel, and got one in today's mail, pretty kool for an item they quit making years and years ago. Hope this helps
