SOURCE: Hi, I have a electric LG

Sure, looks like the high limit is your problem, but why did it fail? If your vent is good as you say, the dryer should cycle on the operating thermo (thermistor sensor in this case), and the high limit should never trip. I'd replace the 6323EL2001B thermistor too (back side of the blower housing), along with the 6931EL3003D and the 6931EL3001E which are mounted on the element assembly. Non heating issues can also be caused by a bad relay on the board or a bad centrifical switch in the motor.

SOURCE: LER8648LW0 Dryer. Not heating, runs continuously

One side of the element powers from the timer and the other side from the motor . Remove one wire from the element , and check which wire is not getting 120 V . Trace the wire NOT getting 120V and it will lead either to the timer or the motor , providing that the small t-stat looking piece (thermal cut-off) located close to the top of the heater box , shows continuity . If it does not , then pt # 3392519 is for it and the hi-limit t-stat . If you replace it , then replace both that come in the kit .

On my kenmore dryer 970-c82062-00 I can get all 3 timers to start but the heated automatic dry portion does not time out.

that model number doesn't come up,you sure that isn't the serial number?also does the dryer have heat, when you run it on time dry the timer just counts down like a clock, when on auto or more or less the heat comes on until the dryer heats to temp. the heat shuts off and the timer will advance, when the heat comes back on the timer stops moving,it will do this until the clothes are dry,if you do have heat you could have a bad sensor or a bad cycling thermostat but you'll have to check it with a meter.send the model number and i can help you better.

The dryer is not heating up and the dial stops at the cool down so the dryer will not shut off by it self. Its a kenmore 70 series dryer.

you need to send the model number, open the door and look around the opening where you put the clothes into the dryer and you'll see the tag with the model number.it will start with 110. or 417.because you have no heat that's why the timer won't advance, when the heat shuts down then the timer advances when the heat comes back on the timer stops moving or advancing,no heat the timer won't move.send the model number

My zanussi TC7103 s dryer , timer dial is very stiff, and now sometimes sticks when on so that the dryer just keeps going and does not automatically switch off.

i think the timer knob will be binding in the facia panel. you could try working some washing up liquid round the knob to free it up (not oil) the timer may still be damaged but freeing the knob is worth a try a new timer varies from around £37

The dryer timer will not advance in permenent press section of the dial. it works correctly on all other sections. i replaced the timer and the problem is still present

could you send the model number and is it gas or electric?when you have it on permanent press is there heat?usually the dryer heats, the heat shuts down and the timer moves, timer stops and the heat comes back on.could have a bad thermostat or thermister but i need the model number to see what is in your dryer

My Kenmore dryer heats as it should but the timer dosent move and the dryer stays on.

This is a common problem. Dryer timers are advanced by a motor that turns gears and moves the dial (and internal switching) forward. The timer needs to be repaired or replaced. More than likely the latter since most timers are riveted together and cannot be repaired (unless you're someone who can put a geared jigsaw puzzle back together without any instructions since they normally fall to pieces when opened). I have tried to repair some timers and have been marginally successful, but to have a piece of mind, order the part, have it replaced (wire for wire when the unit is unplugged from the wall). If the timers look different, it is still possible that they gave you the correct timer. Verify that the new and the old timers have the same letter and number markings on each of the wires.

It is best to label the wires as you remove them from the old timer with a piece of tape and a sharp pointed marker. That way there is no question which wire is which.

Hope that helps you.

Dryer Timer dial will not move but dryer works

Will the dryer move forward in timed dry? if it does not then you need a new timer. If if will advance in timed dry but does not advance in auto mode then the high limit needs to be replaced on the heater.

Hotpont/Zanussi Electric dryer TC7102W no timed heat

it seems thatyour getting no heat on the permanent press and gentle cycles correct? if we know the heater is working that takes care of a number of possible causes turn the power off and remove the rear panel of the dryer. you will see a couple of thermo disks mounted on the heater box.you probably will find tons of lint on these thermostats and what happens is you turn your dryer on low heat or automatic cycle where the dryer will run until it senses the clothes have no more humidity inside the drum every time the thermostat shuts off the heater the dial moves a little closer to the off position. if there is a build up of lint around these sensers the dryer will heat up until the sensers turn the heat off. what happens now is the thermostats are nice and warm as the lint buildup iacts like an insulator preventing the thermostat from calling for more heat so it will take forever to dry a load of clothes. brush the lint off the thermostats and while you are at it vacuum the back of the dryer there should be a lot of lint there

Extremely low drum heat but setting is on HIGH.

Electric (Kenmore - 60931) dryer takes forever (several cycles) lately to dry clothes set on high heat (actual heat in tub feels low though). There are no obstructions in the venting and the 240 volt connection is fine. The timer rotates the dial (timer motor working). Help!!!
