On your keyboard there should be a fn key (left down) you can use this to activate different functions. try a combination with one of the Fkeys in the same color where it says a signal or a transmitting icon. if there is no such icon, go to programs-> search for bluethoot suite-> make sure it is configure.

SOURCE: Have I got bluetooth and how do I set it up

Hi,

No that model does not have a Bluetooth connection on because its a fairly old machine. You would have to get a USB Bluetooth dongle if you are wanting Bluetooth on the laptop.

Does sony pcg k23 has built in bluetooth? If so, how do I get it to work?

Not sure, to find out if you have the hardware installed, go into device manager, to access it, type it on start search box after clicking on start, this is if you're running on vista or 7. If you are on xp, right-click "my computer" then click on properties then hardware tab then device manager. Under device manager, look for bluetooth, If you have it, you can activate it by turning on your wifi switch...
Hope this helps.

How to open Sony Vaio PCG-4G1M?

I've just had this problem but managed to solve it.

Unscrew all the screws on the underneath, where the arrows indicate.

Then, to remove the screw in the centre of the laptop that's holding it all together, hold down the Escape and F1 key and you will see a small clip holing the keyboard down, put a screwdriver in there and push the clip back. Do the same for the clips behind the F5, F12 and Insert key.

Once you do that the keyboard will slide down and out and you can get to the last screw. Unscrew that and you can take off the top of the laptop.

When taking it apart you will detach the 2 ribbon cables from the motherboard. Take not of where these came from so you can put them back later.

My problem was that the HDD cable has popped out, giving me a n error on booting of 'Operating System Not Found'.

Problem now resolved.
