Question about Fujitsu Sony Vgn-z520n VGN-Z520 VGN-Z590 VGN-Z550N/B VGN-Z590 VGN-Z690 VGN-Z610 VGN-Z750D 13.1"" LED Screen LTD131EQ2X"
Make sure you're using theright 'type' of HDMI (if I remember correctly you have 'fast hdmi with build in lan and standard video/audio only hdmi). make sure your pc is fast enough, since hdmi is software based and therefore not 'just a copy' of your screen but rather a second screen. In fact, I would reccomend using a standard VGA or DVI to display on a tv, since it is faster an less hardware intenstif (higher resolution/ less stress on onboard video)
(if you have an older pc, this is the way to go) and use external speakers for your sound

If you are using windows, try going to the screen resolution page(right click desktop and click properties and then click the last tab for xp, or right click desktop and click personalize and then screen resolution. There you should see two black rectangles. Click the second one(he one that's grayed out) and set a resolution in the dropdown menu. Then the tv should show your computer screen. You can also fool around with the resolutions. Good luck!

SOURCE: no picture dv5 HDMI
Connecting an HDMI cable is not the only solution to share ur laptop screen over ur tv set
u've to change few settings from the laptop so that u can see or operate it from TV.
SImply go to ur Control Panel, Open Dipslay Properties, Go to Properties & select Displays. Then Identify & change ur default display from ur laptop display to ur HDMI Display. Its done
If this works, please rate me up, i really need some good ratings.,...
If this does not work, feel free to ask again

Your Lenovo laptop can be hooked up your TV if you have a model that is
capable of TV output. Newer models with HDMI ports can easily connect to newer
TVs that have HDMI input jacks. For older laptops or TVs, you will need other
adapters or cables. The most common of these is an S-video jack, which has a
small round connector with several pins arranged in a circle. For S-video
connections, you will need to hook up the audio from your laptop to your TV
Things You'll Need
Turn on your
Lenovo laptop and HDMI-enabled TV.
Connect one end
of your HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your laptop. Lenovo's IdeaPad series has
these ports. If you have a ThinkPad or other Lenovo model, connect a
USB-to-HDMI adapter to your HDMI cable, then plug the USB end of the adapter
into any USB port.
"FN" and "F7" keys on your keyboard. This will switch the laptop's
display to the TV. You can then use your TV screen as a monitor or use the
laptop's DVD drive to watch movies on your TV.
Turn off your
laptop and TV. Connect your S-video cable to the laptop on one end and the TV
on the other.
cables into your audio out jacks on the laptop. If you do not have stereo audio
output, you can use the headphone/speaker jack. Add a splitter adapter to split
the sound into stereo instead of mono (single speaker). Plug the other ends of
the audio cables into your TV.
Turn on the
laptop and let it boot up. Then turn on the TV. Right-click on your desktop
screen, then select "Properties."
"Settings" tab, the "Advanced" button, then "ATI
displays" or "Display device" or the similarly worded option,
depending on your system. It is not the "On screen displays" option
in any version.
Click on the
option that suits your system, such as "TV" or "LCD." Click
"Apply," then "Yes" to confirm, if necessary. Click
"OK" to exit. Your display should be visible on the TV screen. If
not, try pressing "FN" and "F7" to toggle the display to
the external screen.
