Re: does not activate
Sounds like a compatibility issue. Providing its a legit copy, Look for their help area on their website. Call them and explain what it does. They should offer you a new code, or allow you to activate.

the software suite isn't working? sometimes the installed apps may save a basic copy of the install app on your hard drive. however, you may still need the activation code in order to use the app in question. also why do you need to do a system restore in the first place? did one of your apps crash on you? this would simple if that is the case, simply re-install that app, however, if is just the power dvd 5 then please search for your software cd's. you know those music cd holders work wonders for holding your computer software cd's too! i have 2x 300 cd holder books that i use for keeping all of my computer software cd's in. just mark the cd holder book for computer cd's only that way nothing else gets put into the cd holder book. hope this was some help. have a gr8 day
Are you talking about DVD software that came with your computer or software you purchased later? The software that came with the computer should work--probably has a key code on the CD sleeve. If you purchased it later, you should have a key code that needs to be entered and you would have received that code as part of your purchase. But you really didn't tell us much other than you can't activate it, so these are the only suggestions I can provide at this time.
The activation questions via telephone will ask you why, how many times, etc. If a hard drive was changed, even RAM changes will be detected in the automatic activation process so just explain. Good luck and post back if you still have a problem. Steve
DVD X Copy Platinum can be activated 3 times, though
if you need to activate again, you can request another activation via
the online forums or phone. you can re activate it via the online site at http://www.dvdxcopy.com/
Upon installation, you should be able to use your original License ID and password. If you cannot, you should be able to call the company and give them some information proving you bought the program. They will probably understand and give you a new license.
Sounds like you may have been ripped off. The following paragraph may explain your dilemma:
"DVDXCopy was once the world's best selling copying software, but after being banned for sale in 2003, authentic versions of 321 Studios software are no longer available. Some websites are still selling selling fake "DVD X Copy" Software for $29 or less, but they are not genuine 321 Studios software products." -- SOURCE
