My laptop hangs even before the windows is started, It also got heatup. any solution to the hanging problem?

A PC/laptop hangs when there is a clash of SW and HW. HW you can do nothing about and hence it is the SW or the operating system, ie, Windows that is at fault. It is just that some parts of the Windows OS hs got corrupted for some reason. Please re install Windows to get rid of the hanging problem. I am giving a link below for you to read, understand and follow if you have Windows XP. If other than Windows XP then you will have to do a fresh reinstall for which there is another link to be followed.

Intel Desktop bord D845GVSR with Windows XP

If your system hangs up, instead of re-starting it hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and then click on End Program. As far as your Desktop Board go to www.microsoft.com and type in Hardware Compatibility List. There will be a listing of the hardware that is compatible with Windows XP. It may not be compatible that is why it is hanging up.

THE SP2 TAKES A REALLY REALLY LONG TIME TO DOWNLOAD AND IT CAN APPEAR TO HANG. TRY LEAVING IT TO RUN AND BE A LITTLE PATIENT (I KNOW IT'S ANNOYING), BUT IT SHOULD DOWNLOAD OKAY IF YOU GIVE IT TIME.
