Problems disconnecting the wastepipe on an AEG Dishwasher

We have a smell coming from an AEG This is an AEG 80800 Sensor Logic dishwasher, and water is coming back up through the waste pipe and is sitting in the machine. I have been trying to disconnect the waste pipe from under the appliance - but I have been unable to disconnect. The waste pipe seems to be connected to the underside, but there doesnt appear to be a release mechanism. The machine is quite old I would estimate 8-10 years.

Pour some bleach into the stinky backwash. I know that this is not good for the environment but it will take the stench away while you get a new dishwasher. Sorry but you have plumbing problems out of my range.

SOURCE: Horrible smell coming from the washing machine

IMPORTANT: Read thoroughly. DO NOT add detergent or other laundry products to this cycle.
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. If the bad odour persists, repeat the procedure 1 or 2 more times. This may be necessary if this is the first time you have run this cycle.
7. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
8. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly.
To maintain the washer freshness:
1. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent.
2. Leave the door open after each cycle to for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
3. Use warm / hot water in your machine unless the fabric you are washing requires cold.
4. Use the correct amount of fabric softener.
5. If your laundry room is damp, use a dehumidifier.
6. Clean the door seal of visible residue.

SOURCE: Recurring .30 fault on AEG dishwasher. Have tried

This is caused by the Anti-Flood device at the base of the machiene being activated. This device detects water leaks and is a polystireene float / micro switch that puts the machiene in pump out mode only. You need to determine where the leak comes from (pipe or perforated hose pin hole or pipe clamp etc.) If you tilt the washer and some water comes out from the bottom it is a clear indication that there is a small leak.

How to fix anti flood error on F60860

Error "i30" means that water remains in base because leakage or overflow. In this case, in order to prevent flooding, drain pump running continuously.
When we talk about AEG dishwasher, drain pump works even the power is turned off (must be connected to the wall outlet, otherwise anti-flooding system will not work).
Remedy: you should first remove the water from the bottom of the dishwasher and determine leakage.

If you work around the dishwasher, you always take care that appliance must be disconnected from the power supply.

Aeg favorit 40740 sensor logic dishwasher Not heating up

FYI: I ran in a similar situation with my Ikea dishwasher last week.
It started did some stuff but ended early and cold.

In the end it was just because I forgot to refill the soda.
The drain was all clogged together. A quick cleaning fixed my problem.

Only afterwards of course I noticed that an LED was on and there where some white deposits on the dishwashers lid. There was also still some water when I opened the dishwasher.

When I was reading about similar problems, it also happens often that some solderings of the relay go bad. A more or less practical person can check and solve this rather fast. (Because I didn't notice the clogged drain at first, I verified mine in let's say well below 30 min, they seemed fine)

I hope you get your problem solved.

AEG Favorit 8081 displays error F0 - there is a build up of dirty water which has not drained way. I syphoned all the water away and after a while the dishwasher started to work again - but then the...

Hello. When the water does not completely drain away, it usually means that there is a partial blockage in one of these areas:

1. The small drain pump located under the tub, accessable by removing the lower front panel.
2. The drain line going from the DW pump to the plumbing under the kitchen sink.
3. The garbage disposal, or the trap under the sink.

Check these out and you will find a chunk of bone, or glass or some other debris which is partially blocking the draining action. J.

Panel lights started to flash & F3 appeared in dislay. Made a buzzing sound that would only stop when turned off at the plug

I copied one of the solutions to a problem that appeared on your web site. Pulled the dishwasher out, ladeled water out of the salt reservoir, tilted the machine at 45 degree angles backwards, forward and sideways then poured boiling water into the salt resrvoir, left it to stand overnight, it was working as normal the next day.

Thanks to your website I have saved the cost of a call out and repair bill.
