The non-functioning Smart Trak could be just one observable concern while there could be others less obvious.

Hi.! I bought a Honda cr-v model 2003 and did not have manual book, how cal i tell if its two wheel drive or front wheel drive.is there an indication where can i look? Thanks..

Depends on the model, if it is all wheel drive it should have AWD on the back window.
The Honda CRV uses very smart technology to have AWD. Let me explain it simply. The CRV is essentially a front wheel drive car, but there are sensors mounted on all the tires that sense slipping. If the computer determines the wheel is spinning faster than the other ones, it uses hydraulics to engage the rear end differential and presto..All Wheel Drive. You do nothing, no switches, no levers, the computer does it all for you. If it is indeed AWD, you can look under the car to see if you have a driveshaft going into the rear differential (axle)

Please vote if this helped! Thanks, Mike

All well drive message on dash board " AWD disabled"

The problem is the AWD rear flow valve. Put drain pan under rear differential, unhook connector, unscrew flow valve bolt and pull it out. Reverse order to install. You will need to refill with 4 pints of versatrak fluid (unscrew fill plug) because when you remove the flow valve, all the versatrak fluid comes out. You can only get versatrak fluid at any GM dealership. Do not reuse old nasty versatrak fluid because that is why it got plugged up in the first place.

Low power and missfire, have replaced bad distributor and rotor. 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD. Where are the fuel pump and filter located?

I have replaced Distributor cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs in my 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD smart track. To replace one spark plug I had to collapse the steering column, but everything went O.K. Did you marked the wires?. Did you reconnect them in the firing order?
The fuel pump is located In the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank and take the fuel pump out from the top. This is part cost $300 and need some skills to be replaced.
The fuel filter it is directly in front of the fuel tank. Another one is incorporated with the fuel pump.

My AWD doesn't work. I have a broken wire on my

definately repair that wire. now keep in mind that that particular wire is called a shielded wire and you need to be clean and careful when you repair it. make sure it is water tight and protected. this wire is for the abs wheel speed sensor and with no reading, the abs is inoperable which will affect the awd. the abs and smart trac work in conjuction with each other to help you remain stable. cheers.

1999 olds bravada smart trac four wheel dosent engage

Probably the transfer case encoder motor. Unplugging it at the wiring harness should make the "service awd or smart trac" light come on. This will tell you the awd controller module is probably OK. Common failure item to Bravada's. Try "thepartsladi" eBay store for lowest price motor, beware aftermarket!!! Also make sure transfer case fluid is "blue" GM Auto-Trak II only! If not bllue when checking change twice after driving for a week with blue fluid.

Transferring from 2wd to awd?

The Bravada has the Smart Track Automatic 4WD system, so the computer will automatically engage the front wheels when traction is needed. Hope this helps!!!
