Booting Into Safe Mode on Windows 8

The trick is to hold the Shift button and mash the F8 key, this will sometimes boot you into the new advanced "recovery mode", where you can choose to see advanced repair options.
image31.png
You will need to click on the Troubleshoot option.
image32.png
Now select Advanced Options.
image33.png
Now choose the Windows Startup Settings option, by the looks of things we were never meant to find Safe Mode.
image34.png
Finally hit the Restart button.

Like magic, when your PC reboots you will be able to boot into Safe Mode from the familiar looking Advanced Boot Options screen.

select safemode with networking

go to driver site NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 335 23 Driver WHQL
32 bit version

for the 64 bit
NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 335 23 Driver WHQL

install in safe mode hope that works

Help.............. my system shows bluescreen Technical information stop: 0x00000116 (0x80c4c510, 0x8c106a30, 0x00000000, 0x00000002) nvlddmkm.sys - adress 8c30DA30 base at 8c22f000, datestamp 4b0764b5

nvlddmkm.sys is nvidia graphic card driver files, first off download latest driver form nvidia official site..get it here...use drop-down list to fill the model of your graphic card and OS..
If you can not boot from your system normally you can enter to safe mode instead, then remove all previous nvidia drivers that installed on your laptop, also you can do manually remove nvidia installations folder include 'nvlddmkm.sys'..You have need to restart your laptop to make changes then install new driver you have already downloaded...

Windows 7 64 bit wont boot up unless I disable the nvidia. I tried updating the driver but this did not help.

How did you update driver? Did you use Nvidia? I can't find it at all through Asus. Do you get video through the Intel chipset with the Nvidia diabled? Anyway Nvidia has a download but I don't know what comes with it, and if you tried to download from Nvidia, you have to unistall the old software before installing new software for it to work right.Look in programs and features and see if you have any duplicate software. Do you by chance have an installation CD for your graphics? If so, I would do one of two things, if you have a CD, uninstall all Asus software, you will have the video graphics but, you may also have "Smart Doctor" and "OSD gamer". Again, if you have a CD uninstall all Asus software including graphics driver, gamer and Smart Doctor restart system, and re-install from CD. If you are going to try download from Nvidia, try uninstalling video graphics only, then download driver from Nvidia. If you have questions let me know.

What is the problem i reformat already my computer i install all the drivers when i it welcome to windows it always hang... it stop in a blue blank screen.. opening of the windows... what solution can u...

Hi,
You have told that blue screen comes only if you connect your nvidia display/graphics card. Usually Blue screen comes if there is some problem with the hardware or due to incompactible hardware drivers. Remove the nvidia card from you system. Reinstall your system and then install all the drivers present in your motherboard cd. After that go to nvidia website, download the latest driver for your nvidia display/graphics card driver. Now connect your nvidia hardware back to your motherboard. Before that clean the dust particles present in the motherboard connecting terminals, if any. Now boot your system into safe mode. Restart your system into normal mode, install the latest driver downloaded for your nvidia hardware. Now everything should work fine. If you get bluescreen again, remove the card from system, restart into safe mode, uninstall the driver. Check the hardware in someother system, to detect wheather the problem is with your nvidia card or not. I hope this will help you out.

NV4 Display Driver has stopped working normally.

Create a folder on your desktop & name it NVIDIA driver. Click on the NVIDIA link provided below;
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Use Option 2 & download the latest driver software into the NVIDIA driver folder you created.
Do not install new graphics driver software over top of older graphics driver software!
Open control panel than open Add/Remove programs icon. Find the current NVIDIA graphics software & uninstall it. Restart your system if windows request it.
Download & run the free program named RegCure from the next link;
http://www.pctuneuptips.com/recommends/clean/?gclid=CL2RiIrTmpICFSFMGgodODIPzg
This will clean your system. Than install the NVIDIA software. Restart your system even if windows does not want you too.
Lastly, check windows for updates.

Cheers!

Display driver stopped responding

For this issue , You need to boot in safe mode by tapping F8 key and go to safe mode with networking (As internet works in this mode). Try installing the Driver again from the following website "http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp_179.48_beta.html"

OR click on the following link

javascript:%20checkAgreement('http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload/download_confirmation.asp?kw=&url=http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/179.48/179.48_notebook_winxp_32bit_beta.exe');

Hope it works.
