Ok, you have to be careful here if you don't want to but another blower wheel.....the threads on the motor to the blower wheel are in reverse...take a pair of vise grips and put them on the part of the blower wheel thats attched to the motor...looking at the motor the vise rips should be going to the right, let them rest against the base of the dryer, now take channel lockes, or what i use is a pipe wrench and while the visegrips are tighted and resting on the dryer base, place the pipe wrench on the front of the motor(the six sided piece, and turn to the right, it takes some pressure, but it will come off

Is your cage held on with a spring clamp or a Nut? Is it rusted on? They will pull off but sometimes you need a little pent. oil and a hammer. Or you can return the motor and ask for one with a blower cage. Some cages are mounted on the shaft and are not removeable

Air is not coming out of vents like it should. Could I possibly need a new blower motor?

Hello, it is possible that either the blower motor is running slow due to a weak capacitor or the blower motors bearings are giving out. I would replace the capaitor first since it is less expensive and see if it helps, if not the motor will need to be replaced. Also, make sure the filter is clean, blower wheel is clean before replacing the capacitor. Sometimes dirt will cause the wheel to turn slower.
