Question about Coby MPC885 MP3 Player
I have a coby MP-C885 mp3 player and i went to use it today and when i went to turn it on, the start up screen came up as normal but then it froze and none of the buttons were responsive, i took the battery out to reset it and tried again and didn't get a response. i then tried to plug it into my computer to see if that could lead me to a solution, but then it wouldn't be recognized by either my desktop or laptop. Please help!!!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Just format your player and it should get rid of everything, including the preinstalled junk. Right click 'internal storage' and select format.

If it just froze up, there's a reset button at the back/bottom, I used a staple if a paperclip isnt available. The reset button did nothing to solve my problem of only getting a screen showing "COBY" but maybe it'll help you.

1. Did your unit comes with Coby Media Manager? THere are two versions of this unit, one comes with and one doesnt. You can usually tell, if your unit came with an Installation CD, then it doesnt use Coby Media Manager
2. To access CMM - Start > My Computer> Double click the removable disk drive that looks like a 'C' with a big red circle, follow prompts to open Coby Media Manager.
3. IF you somehow formatted or deleted it, you can download a new copy from here:
