SOURCE: GE refrigerator model GSS22 WGMD ice maker motor

If you cant manually turn your auger motor, it may be bad. Does it dispense solid ice or no ice at all? Another thing may be your control panel. That could be bad too, it's the one sending juice to both your solenoid and auger motor.

SOURCE: Fridgedair R134a ice maker water wont fill.

Your icemaker send the voltage to the water valve as it cycles through its ice drop. Pull your icemaker out, and test the wiring it was plugged into for continuity to the water valve, usually you will only have one colored wire that has continuity. Your white wire is usually your nuetral and as long as both wires are ok, then replace your icemaker or your icemaker module if it has one. You have a very good parts house on Oahu called Reliable Parts, Take your icemaker in if you live on Oahu, or call them with your parts number if you are on the Big Island. I worked on Oahu for 15 years. Good Luck Appliance Specialists

I've done that before and there's no hope for it. Once you laid it down the freon got a air pocket in the compressor and it will no longer work. Guy from sears told me that laying them down ruins them.

Make sure you actually turn the icemaker on, there is a arm that you have to trip in side that will activate the solenoid that make water enter the ice marker. Also keep in mind that the air in the line has to work out so give it 24 hours to make it to the ice maker. You should see the hose in the back of the frig, that runs from the solenoid to the ice maker. Also check the ice maker itself to make sure it is plugged in completely. Good luck

No water to ice maker. water to door drinking side. unplugged for 3 days to make sure no ice build up also checked solenoid and its working. Any help.

Since you have the refrigerator unplugged for 3 days, its safe to say the water line wsan't frozen. When was the water filter changed? If you can't remember, it is probably time.

KitchenAid 25in KSRJ25CNST00 icemaker trouble. The LED light on side of freezer is blinking twice with a delay and repeats same sequence. No ice is making. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Try the reset button on the control panel. If that doesn't work, then try unpluging the refrigerator.
Also, make sure that ice tray shut off arm isn't in the up position. It should be in the unlock position one notch below the off position. This arm is used by the refrigerator from over filling the ice cube holding tray. Once the ice fills the tray. The ice in the bend will push up on the arm which
initiate the ice maker to stop making ice. As soon as you start using the ice in the bend and the arm falls below the off position. The ice maker will start making ice. GB....stewbison

if while moving it , you laid it on its side, it collected air in the lines, having it unplugged is a good idea, normally 24 hours is enough for the air to settle,, try it again after that time,

Water tastes fine but ice tastes bad. changed the water filter already.

Since the water goes through the same path except the line from the dual valve solenoid to ice maker, it could just be residue in the line. Suggest you dump the ice for the first 24 hours and then check it. There just isn't a lot could cause the problem you describe.

Yes it could be either, BUT I would go back and make sure that everything you did to stop it the first time is undone. Is everything setted correctly? Is the switches in the right place?

Neither the solenoid or the microswitch could cause the problem you had before, so I would suspect something is not right with the ice maker itself.

Take food out of the freezer, take out the racks, take off the back panel on the bottom/back ( probably 4-6 screws).. You will see a fan. If that fan has ice around it, then take it all off, chip it, hair dryer, what ever you want. Unplugging it for 24 hours is not enough for all of the ice to melt so it is probably taking a couple months to build back up. Generally this happens in a high humidity time of the year. It will probably happen again, do not freet. Just clean it again. I know one customer that had it happen two years in a row and that was about four years ago. He has had the unit (Maytag Plus side by side refrigerator) about 10 years and is just fine with it. Little inconvience, but sometimes that is the breaks in life. Good luck.... f067b6b.gif

Icemaker in Admiral side by side refrigerator/freezer stopped working

see if you can bleed the air trapped in the water line to the ice maker. if air is trapped, water would not be flowing and it would take only a few seconds for the solenoid to be open to let water flow.

see if you can hot wire the solenoid to let water and air out of the tube long enough to bleed the air and hopefully, the ice maker would work continuously.

tnx 4 using fixya,
