Question about Polaroid Televison & Video
Hi all. I have many kids shows and comedy shows from tv on my PC and have always burned them to disk for my family to watch on our tv. decided to upgrade so i could play them directly from a USB stick. The manual for Polaroid model P40LCD12 states it can support .mpg, .mpeg, .dat, .vob and .avi file formats for USB mode (Xvid 1.00, 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.10-beta1/2) The problem is it doesnt. I only seem to be able to play .mpg or .mpeg and when i try to play an .avi file an error message appears on the screen saying "Invalid or unsupported file". Any and all help or info on this would be most gratefully welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for your time. Mark.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You have not mentioned the TV model #.. If your TV does not play avi. files I am sorry to tell you it does not support moving pictures -- it only supports MP3 music files and JPEG picture files !!. Try these two to confirm.

SOURCE: ive formatted my 8gb flashdrive
AVI is just a format - the video inside it can be coded using just about every codec. That sharp supports files that are coded using DIVX 4 to 6 and XVID 0.8 to 1.3. You must make sure that the avi files were coded correctly. For that install this program and use it to check the files
