Question about Toshiba SD-P1400 Portable DVD Player

1 Answer

Display is backwards

My Toshiba AD-P1400 displays everything backwards. I purchased it for a gift a long time ago (no more warranty) but it has never been used. Even the screen message the comes up when you first turn on the unit is backwards (mirrored). DVD seems to play ok - a little noisy - but any text on the movie is backwards. Anyone know how to fix this? I sure hope it's something I am doing wrong or not understanding. Thanks!

Thanks for trying. The problem is not the DVD. Before I even insert a disk, the message on the screen is backwards.
Also, when I press the buttons as shown on page 29, nothing happens.
It seems the remote control is lost, so I can only work from the buttons on the unit.
Any other ideas? I appreciate the help!

The video can be reversed in either vertical or horizontal direction. To change it press left or right buttons while playing DVD. See page 29 of manual.

Crack damage LCD toshiba note 10in

Did you crack the screen, causing problems with the display? If you do not want to get a new laptop, you can contact Toshiba if you are still on warranty to get a free replacement screen, or to purchase a new display.

We purchased our DVD player about 3 mths ago and everything was fine, then about a week ago after the kids were watching TV and went to record a show the DVD turned itself off. Now when we turn on our DVD...

If you only purchased it 3 months ago it should still be under warranty.

Just bring it back to your place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

When i turn on my laptop the screen just starts flashing.i only bought the laptop 3 months ago

If purchased as new, it should still be under warranty; don't delay though. If it isn't and there is no sign of video when this is happening, the driver circuitry in the display has probably failed. If there is video, then it can be either the fluorescent backlight lamp itself or the inverter for it.

PNY Does not Honor ''Lifetime Warranty'' for memory

Ram installed about 2 years ago I think 2x4gb ddr3 sodimms
Failing after a year started as blue screens and not recognized short time after.
Without receipt = no warranty
Got it as a gift = no warranty
Oem = no warranty
Purchase with gift card and misplace receipt = no warranty
House burn down with all paperwork = no warranty
Not good at keeping records =- no warranty
I have been in contact with PNY and can you tell they have told me without the receipt they can do nothing for me?
COMPLETE WAISTE of the word warranty.
and yes there support people get smart with you and quote other companies warranties and state see they do they same thing!
Why even have a lifetime warranty, just call it a "prove it" warranty?
