Question about Acer Aspire One Netbook 8.9" Notebook
Why does it say this when i turn on and how can i fix if fixable?this is what mine says when I turn on Intel UNDI, PXE-2 . 1 (BUILD 082) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v126.96.36.199(01/22/09) Check cable connection...! PXE-E63:Error while initializing the NIC PXE-M0F : Exiting Intel PXE ROM. No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
You hard drive is missing from the system. Just does not recognize it.
Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

SOURCE: I accidently dropped my sister's
The computer is trying to boot from a server (Local Area Network) since it has lost the OS on the hard drive. Possibly the cable between the drive and the motherboard was damaged. Alternatively, the hard drive was damaged - at minimum it lost the Master Boot Record which told the computer where to find the operating system. Frequently you can access the BIOS information to change the boot order by pressing F1, Esc or F2 before the computer attempts to load the OS. On many systems you can change the boot order for one time access by pressing F12 at this same point.
I believe this computer doesn't have an internal optical drive, so an external drive will be needed to repair the unit.
Recovering the data first probably will require taking the drive out and using another computer with a SATA to USB drive connector or a 2.5" drive enclosure.
If you have an optical drive, you can use the OS install or upgrade disc to do a recovery of the drive. Make sure to match the service pack version for Windows. (Any LiveCD (anti-virus or Linux) will let you check if the drive is connected and visible.) Some Unix versions can be run from a USB flash drive.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: when i turn the power
You get this kind of message when the laptop could not identify that there is a hard disk drive installed inside the laptop. Check your hard drive & make sure it is not dead.

SOURCE: I have dropped my acer
There's a big possibility that the Hard Drive cable is loose or already broken or the HDD itself, try to reseat the connection of the Hard Drive if nothing happens, please do send me a reply ASAP.
Hope this will help... Your response is very much appreciated...

SOURCE: Whenever i try to turn
The problem you are mention is related to the boot order of your computer. You computer is trying to boot from the network wireless card instead of the primary hard drive. To solve this, you will have to enter the BIOS and change the boot order.
With the laptop turned off, switch it on and when you see the ACER logo press the F2 key. You will enter the BIOS. Now press the right arrow key in the directional pad until you arrive at the "BOOT" tab, you will see something like this:
Now change pressing F5/F6 the boot order, putting the hard drive at the top. Press F10, then "Y" and "enter". The laptop will reboot and the message should disappear.
If it doesn't disappear you will have a failure on the hard drive, which you will have to replace by a new one.
