Go to Microsoft download center, search for updates to Microsoft Money (same as automatic updates but you are forcing process). It is not connecting his backup files to the money program had trouble renaming for lack of easier way to explain. once all downloads updates done restart computer, once. Try to open new or previous file (did you save to disk or excel by any chance?) No matter.... Then search for this driver on your computer...is it now there? 1. Right click rollback driver...if that doesn't work uninstall reinstall driver individually. in folder of prgram called .dll

You have a couple of options -
1. Do a system restore and revert your computer back to a time prior to the problem developing.
2. Do a repair install, or simply uninstall the program and reinstall it.

Obviously, something has changed on your machine recently, and some files that the program needs have either gotten overwritten or corrupted.

A system restore will restore those files that the program needs, as will a repair install, or an uninstallation and reinstallation of the program.

Any of these will do the trick....

I have MS Money 1999 operating with Windows 98 which will no longer open except in safe mode. Can I download a version of MS Money to use with my back up disc - using Windows XP Home

You can in fact run it in Win 98se Mode in XP, you simply have to set compatibility for win 98, right click the install, sertup, install, .exe and choose properties, then set the compatibility tab for Win 98. also do as Administrator, and also install as Administrator too. You may also need to alter some of the "other" setting on that tab too, you may have to experiment a little to get it to go... Failing that you could use MS Virtual PC, and set it up running in that, you could make a Win98 Virtual machine and load it and run it on that?

Unexpected shut down when clicking to another area My QUICKEN 2001 has began to shut down when I click to go to another feature...like Savings to Checking, for instance. Now it seems that every time I click...

Hi.
If Quicken is shutting down you won't be able to access your accounts. You need to repair the software first.
All you can do is trying to start in safe mode by pressing F8 on startup and check if Quicken can start in safe mode.
If the problem started recently, you can try doing a system restore to a date before the problem started. You find System restore from Start button at:
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
If that does not fix the problem, then you need to reinstall Quicken using the software CD and your licence number. If you choose to reinstall on top of the existing installation you wont loose any setting (repair).
If quicken does not reinstall from current account, then create a new account with administrator privileges and then reinstall quicken from the new account.
If you are still not able to remove and reinstall the software you can try using the free Microsoft utility available here to remove recently installed software.
Note: A new Quicken setup does not delete your data, but there is the chance that data had been previously damaged. In that case you can use a recent backup, or try recovering damaged data, see Basic troubleshooting to correct data file damage
Regards.

Product key for ms office 2007

Sorry! To do this would be tantamount to supporting Piracy and leave us open to a lawsuit as an aceesory to theft. Please do not ask us to condone the supply of hacks cracks and illegal keys.

Why not use the FREE clone that has all that MS does and more. It reads writes looks like MSoffice, can be used on multiple computers does not expire in 30 days and is just so easy to use. go to OpenOffice org and download it absolutely free of charge. If you do some research around the site you can find heaps of temjplates and clipart submitted by others who contribute to this project. Why support MS they are only interested in the money, not making a good piece of software bug free. Some companies employ Beta Users, microsoft uses you and charges you for the priveledge of finding their bugs!

Pleaase rate the help++++Thanks for using FIXYA and enjoy OpenOffice

I no longer can run sotiaire of any of the games on Windows vista. This is not a business edition so clicking on the enable software will not work. I think I corrupted the file somehow. How can I retrieve...

Tony;

You could restore they system when it was working fine, by using the 'System Restore' Tool that Microsoft provides in the OS.

To perform System Restore, you must be logged on to Windows as an administrator. If this is your personal computer, you are likely already logged on with an administrator account.

To use System Restore to restore Windows XP to a previous state, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
  2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
  3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
  4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point (or the date you know when solitaire was working fine) in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.

Note A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
  5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows configuration, and then restarts the computer.
  6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page is displayed.
  7. Click OK.
If you successfully restored your computer to a previous state, and the computer is performing as it should be, you are finished.

I hope this helped! If you need further assistance on how this process is done I will be more then happy to walk you through. Just let me know.

System restore won't work

Just a thought- go to My computer>click on view system information>system information box, click on system restore, and make sure box is unchecked.
If you have any anti-virus programs like Norton, Macafee or AVG, disable them if you can, as well as any non-Windows firewall programs.
If you can remember recently downloading any other program that might interfere with system restore- anti virus or otherwise- then delete or disable that too.

Microsoft office 2007 Compatibility with 2003

MS 2007 is not compatible with MS 2003....because the program hadn't been created yet when 2003 was released. To rectify the problem, you must use the SAVE AS command in your 2007 and in the box where it says file type, select Excel 2003 spreadsheet. It will then save it to a format that your 2003 Excel can recognize.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as FixYa. Thank you.
