Press and hold the set button. After about 4 seconds the display will start flashing. You can just walk through each setting as they come up.

I cant figure out how to set my new watchs' date i tried to see if there is a difference with how far you pull the stem out to try and set it that way and i also tried spinning it around in a 24 hour cycle...

There is probably a screw that is lose on the watch. Someone will need to pop open the caseback and make sure the screws are in place. If you or someone can't figure it out I suggest taking it to a watch repair person, do not go to a high end place they will charge more then what the watch is worth. Go to watch repair shop , and if they charge more then $10.00 then it's better just to buy a new watch on ebay.

Cant set anything on this watch. its a 144d indiglo. i have the booklet that comes with it but its not working like that.

if your 1440 timex watch has a set button, press and hold it until some of the digits blinks and the one that blinks can be adjusted. but if your watch doesn't have a "set" button, press and hold the "mode" and it turns to 0 00 press it again and the time blinks and you can set it. if you like most accurate solution please give me the model no. of your timex watch. thanks!
