The graphics chipset is soldered to the motherboard, via a BGA surface mount.

How do u get the video back after cmos reset

When you reset the CMOS, you would have reset the video adapter settings as well. If this is the case, you should be able to use the on-board video by using the VGA connection (the blue connection with 15 off-set holes for the pins) on the motherboard. You should get video, then you should be able to re-install the video card drivers to get it to work. This is, if you are using a separate video card.

Open your computer casing where the motherboard lies in and then remove the memory card, your new video card and then reset the BIOS, refer to the motherboard manual on how to do it. After resetting, plug in the memory card and video card. Close the casing and connect all the wiring. Power up your computer.

The computer would not upload a certain video from my camera.

If you have a memory card reader that can read the SanDisk Ultra II memory card, then you can use a data recovery software like Restoration to recover whatever was stored on the memory card.

Restoration is freeware & you can download it at the following link:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html

Although it is freeware, it is very good at doing the job. I used it several times & it never let me down.

You might wanna reset your monitor's settings to default, just play with your monitor's options untill you find the reset to default option. If resetting the monitor's settings doesnt work, then try resetting your video card's settings. right click the desktop and open your video card's control panel, then look for the reset to default options, especially on the color settings, wherever they are (control panels for graphic cards vary by vendor ie ATI/Nvidia, and/or by the control panel's version)

Monitor goes black after windows boots up

Try removing the video card, and look up your motherboard / system manual on dell's website on how to manually reset the bios.

1. Remove video card
2. Reset BIOS (physically opening the computer and using a special jumper and/or removing the battery...what ever the manufacturer says to do to reset the BIOS).
3. After BIOS is reset, try booting up via your onboard video card first. Once you get that working, go into the bios settings and make sure it is set to boot the onboard only for right now and then you can make sure the ATI software is fully uninstalled when you get into windows.
4. Reinstall the ATI card and boot up with the video still connected to the onboard card. See if it will let you install the driver.

The trick here is to reset the bios and get the system booting off the onboard card if at all possible. If that works, then you can always reinstall drivers and then tweak the bios to boot off the AGP card instead of the onboard.
