There is no format button on the remote. I looked at the manual on line, and found nothing that pertains to it. I have ran thru the menu and tried all the different screens. What is doing is chopping off half the baseball scores in the left hand corner.

Also, it is hooked to cable, but there is no box, or cable remote

How do i FIX THE COLOR PROBLEMS I HAVE WHILE WATCHING DIRECT TV? Dynex DX-L42-10A 42 in. LCD TV

My guess is that your DirecTV box is outputting in a format your television does not recognize. Some models of the DirecTV box have a button on the front of the box for formats (480,720,1080) and you may be able to press that button until the picture comes in clear.

If there is no button:

1: Try an alternative connection tyoe to the TV from the box (if available, like RCA or coax), then switch the TV to that new input. If you get a clear picture with that connection, then in the settings menu for the receiver there should be format settings where you can select which formats to output. one of the selected formats chosen would be causing the problem. Change or remove one of the formats. (. I.e. if 720 is selected, deselect it.) After that switch back to the original connection and input to test.

or 2: The DirecTV box could be connected to a different TV and in the settings menu for the receiver there should be format settings where you can select which formats to output.

Another unlikely possibility is that the HDMI cable or slot on the TV itself is bad. Try switching the cable or try a different slot in the TV if available.

I lost my remote for my Dynex TV. Is there any way to change the video mode manually?

On the right hand side there should be a panel of buttons. One is marked "Input". That should change your video mode.

Manual available, click here.

I need the users manual for a JVC DX-T99. can you help?

Hello
Get into this link; is JVC support, from you can download the manual of your device. The manual is in pdf format and comes over 20MB capacity. They give us the manual for DX-T66, when we select the user manual for DX-99. The manual is common for three models of JVC DX series. Just get in and download. if you feel any difficulty in download the same, give your email address to me by Fixya. I'll send a copy of it to you by return mail. OK.

What is the difference between DX and FX formats

The FX format uses a sensor very close in size to a frame of traditional 35mm film, about 36mm by 24mm. The DX format uses a smaller sensor, about 24mm by 18mm. The smaller sensor allows the camera to be smaller (compact point&shoot cameras use sensors much smaller) and also are less expensive.

The most visible effect of the difference is the so-called lens multiplier. The smaller sensor uses only the central portion of the image projected by the lens, in effect multiplying the focal length of the lens. In this case, a 100mm lens attached to a DX camera will give just about the same picture you would get with a 150mm lens attached to a FX camera.

In general, FX lenses will work fine on DX cameras, taking into account the lens multiplier mentioned above. DX lenses will not work properly on FX cameras, since the smaller DX lens won't always capture the full images needed to cover the larger FX sensor. Some FX cameras automatically switch to DX mode when it detects a DX lens.

Break Channel...... Hey I just wanted to ask, how do I turn up the modulation on my RCI 2995 DX Ham radio? I am not talking about the mic gain. Inside the radio. Thanks in advance!!

For ham use which that DX model is for. the FM is preset and cannot be changed with adjustments. SSB andAM can be changed. But from factory should be good settings for amateur use.
