Question about Koss Televison & Video
I got a Koss DVD/TH,Model #KS3122-2, intermitten reading disc,I took it 2SVC, they said need a new laser pickup replace but they are unable to find a parts do you have any idea is the laser problem or something I should try, if really is the laser, where I can find that parts, I really wants to fix it! thank you.
SOURCE: Dvd player not reading ANY disc
If you tryed to clean it and it didnt work you could have several things that went wrong and depending on what did go wrong will tell you if you wanna spend the money or buy a new one. If the laser assy went bad you probably will buy a new one. if you find a good authorized repair shop, then it may just need cleaning and a servo alighnment. or a bad spindle motor, or your missing a switched voltage on the power supply could be missing. Im sorry to tell ya that there are no user serviceable parts inside this unit unless your a tech. The only info i have for emerson is the help # Maybe they can show you where to take the unit to be servced/ 905-940-5089 Good Luck

SOURCE: how to fix a insagnia dvd player
Simply put. Don't ever purchase an Insignia product ever. I Have the same problem with a product I purchased just over 3 months ago, and the Insignia Customer service rep Sandra Larraburu gave no help to me other than the following solutions.
1. Make sure all the cables are plugged in right (Are you serious Sandra?)
2. Try a different DVD (I told her in my original email that I had even been trying different DVD players, so of course that was done)
3. UnPlug it (Is this a solution?)
4. Plug it back in (O....kay)
Then she proceeded to tell me that because the manufacturer's warranty had expired after 90 days, that I was entitled to no resolve.
Note Insignia states this "All of us here at Insignia strive to provide the best quality products
great customer care experience"
If that is the sign of a company striving, I've learned my lesson.
No Insignia for me again.

SOURCE: I have a DVD-1920. DVD
please try cleaning the lens manually with cotton or check if the flexible board connecting the lens to the mpeg board is ok or may be loose. if the same problem appears, maybe you've got defective lens or affective mpeg board.
