Question about Kenmore Sewing Machines
I have a kenmore model 158.12511 sewing machine. The bobbin thread keeps breaking when I am sewing. Is it a tension problem?
Try these suggestions
Bobbin thread breaks
1. There is a right way & wrong way to insert the bobbin in the case --when you insert the bobbin in if it doesn't stitch correctly turn the bobbin over see if that helps or bobbin case is not inserted correctly
2. Lint has collected in the bobbin holder
3. The bobbin is damaged & doesn't turn smoothly
4. Lower thread tension is two tight

SOURCE: Bobbin thread breaks
Make sure your bobbin thread is turning clockwise as it sits in the bobbin case. There is a screw on the outside of the bobbin case you can turn with your thumb slightly to adjust tension. If you dangle the case from the thread and give it a light ****, it should move down slightly when doing so-an indicator of good bobbin tension.

The tread only breaks in the needle. what can i do . i don't get to sew anything . I tread the needle and get everything ready and start the machine and as quickly as that the tread is broken and the machine has not sewn at all.

pls, the see the figure how bobbibs thread directionhave you seen theres a screw on latch body case of bobins, you can adjust this but mostly this is factory
adjusted, bobbin tension can adjust here.but try to follow the thread direction.set up again the dial setup tension to #3 and stitch to #8 to #12.bobbins slip due to accumulation of thread under
bobbins.hopefully this may help you to continue sewing.
have a nice day,

there is a screw on the side of the bobbin case, which needs to be turned to the left or counter clockwise to loosen the tension and also change the needle because a burr on the end will cause problems with bobbin thread
