Question about Air Conditioners
If this is an older furnace, it is probably a wearing fan control.
Some can be adjusted, otherwise they need to be replaced.

On the back of the bottom cover for the blower compartment there will be a key to tell you what the three flashes mean....probably telling you that it did not light...meaning you have a bad ignitor...

im assuming you are running a/c and not heat...Was the filter burning?? if not and there are no other obvious burnt wires then id say you need a new motor. The filter, if it was'nt binding the blower wheel or wrapped arround the motor shaft would not have caused the prob.
