Question about ASUS Eee Pc 1005 Ha 10.1 250 Gb 1.66 Ghz Blue Netbook
My pc battery was 2 years old when it began to fail. I replaced it as soon as I could. The computer stopped working completely just before the battery arrived. Even after replacing the old battery, my Eee PC does not come on. The blue power light, the right side power button lights up and the red battery light flashes, but the computer does not boot up. After holding the power button down for several seconds, the blue lights go out and the red battery light continues to flash.
The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

take out battery completely
plug into the ac adapter only
turn on computer
if that works, let it run for a few min then insert battery while still running

Just had the same thing happen, and I thought it was the motherboard. Then a tech friend removed the battery and held the power button down. Then he replaced the battery, and it booted up fine! Good luck...
