As it is now 12 years old, I doubt if a suitable charger is still available, quite apart from the condition of the batteries after all this time. If I were you, I should bite the bullet and replace it with a more up-to-date model.
It sounds as if it may have been damaged during shipping. If you had insurance on it, contact the shipping company to file an insurance claim.
Else, the batteries may have gone bad during shipping. Replace the batteries and try again. If it still doesn't work, contact the company you bought this camera from for replacement or repair.
Hi there, in first replace or check USB cable( it may be have short circuit or is torn off.) If you use OS Windows98 need install driver, if WindowsXP not install any driver, if you install driver in WindowsXP, removed it. For viewing pictures install Blaze Video Magic and/or Ulead Photo Express. Read owner's manual, page 40 4.2 Connecting to computer. Hi there. If you have cradle for camcorder, you can recharge battery from computer via USB cable. If you not have this, you can remove battery and recharge battery from omnipotence travel charger "Goodway", it find in shops for electronics. I can transfer pictures it device if necessary.
