Question about Exercise & Fitness

Open Question

I have a Golds Gym Crosswalk 570. It powers up fine but the console only shows zeros when the key is in and none of the buttons work. I've tried doing the stop and speed up button but no luck. The red control unit light is solid. When I manually walk on the treadmill the speed does change so it seems the cord is fine. When the key is out it shows demo numbers. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

SOURCE: NordicTrack Z7xi treadmill console buttons not working

Hello there. It sounds as if you may have a button stuck on your console. Thus not allowing any other buttons to be pushed. (i.e. the 4 beeps). This is usually caused by the i-fit buttons (silver buttons on the front). If the machine is only 4 months old you should still be under warranty (1 year) I believe. This problem in most instances requires the console be replaced. You can contact nordictrack through iconservice.com or by using the number on the fron of your users manual.
Good Luck! Tim

SOURCE: Gold's Gym Crosswalk 650 Treadmill belt stops

Hello. Either there is too much load for the motor, or the motor is weak, or the controller in failing and unable to adjust for changes in resistance.
By far the most common problem is too much load. Do the checks in your manual to be sure the walk belt is not too tight or dry. Also check that the motor belt is not too tight, you should be able to twist it 90 degrees. If you loosen both belts until they just begin to slip and then retest you might find the everything is okay which indicates the walk belt may need lubing or replacing. If the walk board under belt looks pitted, grooved, or distorted it also would need replacing.
If the unit passes the tests above and a push test then the problem will be in the motor or controller or possibly both. If the motor passes a walk/voltage output test then it might be okay and you might only need a controller. Unfortunately, it is common for a failed motor to damage a controller and vice versa, and that damage might not show up immediately, so you if one has failed you might consider replacing both.

SOURCE: When I turn on the

First of all you need a Surge protector, you can get one from Nordictrack.com, it is on sale. Secondly, unplug the treadmill and leave it unplugged for at least 24 hours. Before you plug it back again, make sure you already have a surge protector on your outlet. Also make sure Trreadmill is the only load on this circuit. Plug it and try again. I had the same problem, and mine works this way. Some times, with dilrty power, the bit get set and the bottons stop working. Good Luck!

More than likely coming from either your controller or upper board.
