Question about Dehumidifiers
It seems that everything works on the unit but no water is collected. What could cause this? I have set it from the lowest setting to the highest. I have let it sit unplugged, I have taken off the back panel to see if there was something disconnected or corroded.
Its about 7 years old but was working up to a month ago.
Most probable cause of a dehumidifier not collecting water when it appears to run fine otherwise is a dirty heat exchanger. It is unlikely that a huge spread in the time a unit works is caused by failure of the compressor of loss of refrigerant. On the other hand, people use their units in very varied conditions of dust in the environment with expected short to long operating times before failure. Here's how to fix this problem in two steps.
Step 1: Determine if your compressor and refrigerant sealed unit is operational
Step 2: If Step one is negative, dispose of the unit - specialized equipment is required to repair or recharge a compressor. If step one is positive, then clean the heat exchanger.

It seems that everything works on the unit Danby DDR4007EE dehumidifier but no water is collected. What could cause this? I have set it from the lowest setting 35% and it always shows from 57 to 64%. I have taken off the back panel to see if there was something disconnected or corroded. I never collected one drop of water since 3 years.Nothing is cool at the back when i touch every where.
Could you help me to solve that problem at a low cost .
