How to restring drum on Echo 210 gas trimmer

Pull the head off by turning the inner hub counter clockwise while holding the outer head still. Once the inner head pops out, turn it over and look for the string rotation arrow. If you can't find the string winding directional arrow, start the trimmer and determine shaft rotation direction (generally counter clockwise) and wind the string in the same direction as the head rotates when installed.
Pull about 5 arm lengths of string out of a string spool and cut it off. Place the inner trimmer head on an object that will hold it while you pull the string to even lengths through the winding hole (the support brackets of a pickup truck tail gate work well for holding the inner head while doing this).
Begin wrapping the string double wraps in the proper direction, laying them evenly and closely to the previous wrap, working it back and forth as the string begins to build up. Avoid crossing the string over itself more than necessary, the string can weld itself together if the strands cross to awkwardly. Once the string is wound, hold the head with one hand and slide the string through the outer head holes, avoid letting the string come unwrapped.
Carefully place the inner head down into the outer header. Avoid letting the string get caught between the inner and outer head. Once the heads are together lock the inner head onto the outer head by turning it and locking the round knobs into the outer head slots.
You can trim the string or let the trimmer guard do it. If the string doesn't feed it is either wound the wrong way, tangled between the inner/outer head or welded to itself.

How do I change the strings on my Dean Vendetta

How to Change Strings on a Dean Vendetta Guitar

Dean Vendetta is a company that makes a wide range of electric guitars. These guitars are used by famous musicians and bands such as Alice in Chains and Megadeath. If you own a Dean Vendetta guitar, you will need to change the strings periodically in order to keep your guitar sounding bright and crisp. Without changing the strings, your instrument will sound dull due to dirt and oil build-up on the strings.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* Dean Vendetta guitar
* String winder
* Guitar strings
* Electronic tuner
* Wire cutters

Locate the high E string. This is the string that is highest and thinnest and closest to the ground when you play the guitar.

Loosen the high E string by turning its tuning key counterclockwise. Use a string winder for this if you have one. Pull the string off of the tuning peg and out through the bridge.

Insert a new high E string through the hole in the bridge, up the neck, to the head of the guitar.

Thread the string through the hole in the tuning key so that about two inches extends beyond the hole.

Hold the string at the top end of the neck in one hand as you turn the tuning key clockwise with the other hand. A string winder makes this task much easier.

Continue to wind the string until it tightens to pitch. Use an electronic tuner to check the pitch.

Clip off the excess string with wire cutters.

Repeat these steps to install the B, G, D, A, and low E strings.

Tips & Warnings

*
Expect to re-tune often for the first few hours after installing the new strings, as they tend to stretch quite a bit at first.

Hope it helped.

Thanks for using fixya..

HOW DO I INSTALL A NEW STRING IN A PRO CUT 11 for Ryobi RLT30CD trimmer

LINE REPLACEMENT (Fig. 8) (For Reel EasyTM Head) Use 2.4mm monofilament string. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Cut one piece of string approximately 7.6m in length. n Rotate knob on string head until line on knob aligns with arrows on top of string head. n Insert one end of string into eyelet located on the side of the string head and push until string comes out through eyelet on the other side. Continue to push string through the string head until the middle section of the string is inside the string head and string outside the string head is evenly divided on each side. n Rotate the knob counterclockwise on the string head to wind the string. Wind the string until approximately 20cm remains protruding from the string head. INSTALLING STRING IN PRO CUT II STRING HEAD Use monofilament string between 2.4 mm and 2.7 mm diameter. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Gather two of the pre-cut lengths of trimmer line provided or cut two pieces of trimmer line, in 28 cm lengths. n Insert the strings into the slots located on the sides of the string head. String should be pushed in until approximately 2 cm protrudes from the holes on the top of the string head. n Remove old string by pulling it from the holes located on the top of the string head. http://www.screwfix.com/sfd/i/cat/pdfs/89/p4763889.pdf

Homelite trimmer, gas, string - y is the string wrapping itself around the head of the trimmer?

The line on my new 26cc Homelite would also feed out by itself. That started me thinking the line was wound backwards. I wrapped the line in the opposite direction as was shown on the bump feed reel and now the dang thing works although the bump feed needs to be "bumped" pretty hard to work. Is it possible that the reel was manufactured with the (string direction) arrows pointing the wrong direction? The new 26cc unit is also underpowered compared to my older 25cc trimmer.

How too install rear solid window on a 1994 vw jetta

As with any windshield you'll need a special tool called a nylon string.
  • First clean the whole glass with de-natured alcohol and clean your hands too, this cleans any oil residue which can cause leaks in the future.
  • Install the new rubber gasket on the glass.
  • Assuming the metal body part is clean too wrap the nylon string around the rubber gasket outer groove (metal contact part) at least 2 times around and still have 2ft extra when they meet up in the middle.
  • Keep the excess string inside part of glass and let it hang for now but should be x-crossing in the middle.
  • A water and dish washing soap solution should be used both on the rubber gasket and the metal part of body where it contacts. This will ensure of slippery installation.
  • Place glass with gasket on whole with the part where the excess string is at and place it on it's mating groove to secure the starting point of work.
  • While second helper pushing lightly on glass from outside, start pulling the string toward you at the same time while helper helps guide the glass by pushing the area where ever the string pulled out is.
  • Pulling of the string towards you causes the rubber gasket lip to easily move so the body part will land on the rubber groove.
Usually it only take 5mins to do this with a helper. If you have no idea what I'm talking about call a glass company and let your insurance take care of it. It's about $250 for replacing.

Not able to remove a software

Error Number: 0x80040703
Description:Failed to find dll function: SAM.AddProperty

I am able to load the dll but not call the methods.

The method that is being called from my c++.NET dll is:
void AddProperty(String *name, String *value) throw(...);

Below is my install script:

prototype SAM.AddProperty(POINTER,POINTER);
nResult = UseDLL(SUPPORTDIR ^ "SAM.dll");

STRING sKey;
STRING sValue;
POINTER psKey;
POINTER psValue;
sKey="Key";
sValue="Value";

psKey = &sKey;
psValue=&sValue;

AddProperty(psKey, psValue);

I also tried sending in STRINGS instead of POINTER but that didn't work either.

prototype SAM.AddProperty(STRING,STRING);
nResult = UseDLL(SUPPORTDIR ^ "SAM.dll");

STRING sKey;
STRING sValue;

sKey="Key";
sValue="Value";

AddProperty(sKey, sValue);
