TV was working well in past. I turned it on one day to find a thin line across the center of the screen. The sound is also silent. This is a magnavox model # RS2745 C104 with SR 14939276 and Chassie # 27S101-00DD

Sounds like a failure in your vertical deflection circuit. Unfortunately, the days of taking off the back cover of your TV and
replacing a defective tube or fuse are long gone. Proper servicing will
require troubleshooting procedures that can only be performed by a
qualified electronic repair facility or professional television repair
person. Ask for an estimate and a realistic appraisal of whether the
set can be adequately fixed. Depending on the age and condition of your
TV it may not be cost effective to repair.
yes there's a lose connection of your tv. It needs to re solder.if you know how to solder .,solder the vertical section specially the vertical I but be careful of short circuite coz it may damage your tv set.
you have a shorted green CRT that is affecting the other crts the short is internat to the crt that leaves what is called retrace lines. if the set is more than three years old then replace all three guns.
if the set has a previous vertical line problem and a white horizental line only comes in the cross of the screen and you turned the tv on for a time while the problem is solved that mean you have make a burnt line to the screen ,
but if you are the tv owner and nothing of that happens so you have a problem in faulty dried capaciter in the vertical live part search for 33uf 160 v or 22u 160 v and alter
please don't forget to rate
