Question about Symantec Norton 360 Premier Edition Full Version for PC
I received an e-mail stating that I have cancelled my automatic renewal. This is not true. My automatic renewal date is February 02, 2014.
I would email them and make sure it doesn't automatically renew, In future i would uninstall Norton and go with something more reliable and stable. I use Avast! antivirus and it picks everything up. It would do just as much as norton and possibly more and best of all its free

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Norton used to be very hard to uninstall. When I used it I went to the Symantec website for the uninstall information. Not sure about the renewed product key, sometimes under the "help" and then "about" there is info.

This is an issue that frequently comes up. Please make sure that you have your product key from your new subscription stored (the MyNorton account is a useful place to store the data since you can cut and paste the number into Norton IS).
First check if NIS 2009 has your correct subscription information. Start the program, click on Help and Support > Subscription Status. Click Finish when that window finishes its activity.
If it is still confused, my solution is to update to Norton Internet Security 2010 (no cost to you).
One way to do this is through the Norton Update Center:
The other is to use the Norton Removal Tool:
After the product removes all trace of any Norton product and rebooting your computer, if you have a good internet connection, it will lead you through downloading and installing the updated product. I recommend the Removal Tool since frequently the error you report is due to NIS not correctly updating the registry when the new subscription is updated.
I hope this helps.
(NIS 2010 is for XP, Vista and Win7)

Pro-tip: don't use Norton. It's system hog and expensive. Better to use a free antivrus and spyware monitoring program. There's lots available at filehippo.com. I'd recommend AVG antivirus.

To cancel the Norton renewal, sign into your MyNorton account. You should be able to link to it with the Norton Internet Security Center or by going here: https://www.mynortonaccount.com . Then enter your email address and password.
Click on Automatic Renewal. Uncheck the box for that Norton Product (IS 2009). Then click Update to save.
If you want to get a refund for an automatic renewal, you'll need to contact the Symantec regional/country Customer Support. http://us.norton.com/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs&selected_nav=8&id=ctcs1&entsrc= for the contact information for US customers.
I hope this helps.
(I assume you wanted the Norton cancellation information, not a Fixya cancellation)
