Wierd alarm sounds at irregular intervals, the computor seems ok but the alarm is loud and lasts for about one minute

This could be related to your main battery, if the charge is to low it will emit alarm. Pull the main battery out and run it with the power supply to see if that will solve your problem.

Check battery indicator. If OK, update BIOS. If no change, check battery bios info, if AC Adapter is incorrect, replaces it. Please comment if the information provided has been helpful for the improvement of my support assistance. Thank you and regards.

My battery light is blinking lred ike it is low but is charging

According to the official dell manual for your system , this can occur when the system is too hot to charge the battery. Shut down the system and unplug it from the mains and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then , leaveing the system off , plug into AC and allow the battery to charge

If this doesnt solve the problem then it may be time for a new battery

Dell inspiron 1526 has problem (plugged in ,not

Hello there:
First you will want to ensure that the power cord is fully inserted at both the laptop and all the connections for the cord and that it is getting proper power. and check tosee that the connector thatthe power cord goes into is not loose if so this will have to be repaired
next remove the battery from the computer and unplug the power cord and then press in the power button for 1 minute than if this has a reset button on the back use a toothpick or a small item and pressin on the reset button for 30 seconds
now insert the power cord (NOT THE BATTERY YET)
and turn on the computer and it should now start up if so insert the battery and leave charge for 1 hour than you should be ok from here ok
Please keep me posted on this so i can assist you if needed.
Best regards michael

Dell Inspiron 1505; Battery does not charge; DC jack is loose..

You have either a faulty connector plug on the power adapter which connects into the laptop or the loose power input socket on the laptop is faulty. This is because you need to press the connector upwards to make electrical contact.
Test the connectot plug on the power adapter with a multi-meter, wriggle the connector to see if your get the voltage to fluctuate, if it does not then the connector is OK anf the fault is in the laptop power input socket.
If the fault is in the power adapter plug or the laptop's power input socket, this can be repaired, a techo would have no trouble in repairing these faults.

The loose connection for the AC adapter means the motherboard needs to be replaced or the AC adapter jack on the motherboard needs to be replaced. (With Labor, it is about the same cost to buy a new motherboard as it is to have the old one fixed)

Motherboards are available on EBay for around $100
