Canon IPF8000 Error 2F1F

My plotter show Error 2F1F. I already changed the purge unit as service manual tells. But the error remains ... The strange thing on that issue is that this error came more and more often until it stayed permanent. So everyone would say "Purge unit is faulty" but as I said a new one didn't help. I did reset on the PurgeUnit counter but no change ... So before I change the mainboard - any other idea ?

I was wondering if you ever resolved the issue? If so, what was the fix to rid the 2F1F error?

first you must get the purge unit assy code for ordering.
The replace procedure is easy.
All you have to do is to remove the covers on the right side of the machine and loose the 4 screws that holds the unit on the chasis of the machine.
Watch for the ink that might be inside the unit

Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Error code 03130031 2618 print

The hardware error code indicates that a print head failure has been detected. Other possible causes of this error are a faulty cable connection to either one of the PCB's.
First try replacing the Print Heads and if the problem persist, re-seat the cabling to the Relay PCB and the Carriage Unit PCB.
Since you are unable to access service mode, you will need to ignore the normal print head replacement procedure and replace the printheads whilst the plotter is turned off.
The plotter will need to be disassembled to access the print head.
See the following service manual for a detailed guide:

If you are lucky- air bubbles in the ink lines to the printhead(s) - which you can draw out using a syringe.

If you're UNLUCKY it's the purge unit, and it has to be replaced.

Canon ipf 8000 Error Code E161-403F

I have had two of my Canon plotters give this error.message, I had to manually move the carriage unit and replace the printhead. On one of the plotters the error message returned, on the second plotter I was able to go into service mode where it asked me to replace the printhead. I just went though the motions since the printhead was brand new and I was able to get the plotter to function correctly.

I need to change the printer head in our canon iPF 700. I have the new print head but, it will not let me change the head becasue the ink level it too low. We replaced all 6 inks last wednesday and only...

you can solve this error code by removing the purge unit (take care of the ink).
Then you have to turn upside down the unit to check the gears. There is a white gear that moves in the ''air''. you have to re adjust the gear to transfer the move normally.
Then the problem dissapears.
Also you have to check if the motor is still moving.

Hold down the roll/media button and the info button while turning on, wait about 10 seconds and release roll/info buttons. You should get an S in the upper right corner. That puts you in service mode. Push menu then scroll down to maintenance then right arrow to head replacement. To get out of service mode turn off.
