Someone needs to inspect the safety ground in the receptacle the refrigerator is plugged into. Being that you are getting shocked while touching the handle is really a dangerous situation. If by chance you should be standing in water when this happens could cause electrocution and death. Your refrigerator should have a three prong plug that has not had the third prong removed for safety reasons. You will need to confirm that the safety wire leading from the chassis of your refrigerator has not been broken or altered in any way. I also have seen cases that caused all metal appliances in a home would give a shock and found the solution in a broken grounding bar inside the main breaker box. In one case the cracked grounding bar was found behind the meter that the power company uses to charge for power usage. I will be here should you have any questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

New Maytag Electric shock

I believe you dryer is not hooked up correctly electrically.
You will need to unplug it from the wall without touching it.
You may need to use a wooden broom handle or some other insulating items to accomplish this.
Remember, electricity cannot flow through dry rubber, paper, cardboard, or wood.
If you cannot move the dryer away from the plug so you can reach it, you will need to shut off the dryer at the breaker box or fuse box before you start to unhook it.
The breaker box or fuse box should be marked on the paper on the back of the door as to which 2 circuit breakers or fuses are for the dryer, but most are not.
You should get someone smart to fix this before you have a fire or someone killed .
Be blessed.

Dryer electrical shock

first thing unplug machine and have electrical outlet checked for proper wiring. This is a safety hazard. you can buy a tool for about $5 to check them.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Receptacle_tester
if it passes this test then there is a wiring issue in the machine. Were you touching anything else metal when shocked?
if it fails, get a professional electrician to check and repair the wiring. Do NOT use any faulty outlet as they can be dangerous.

Stay Safe.

Bretford iPad Cart Static Electricity problem

This was straight from a Bretford tech:

There are no capacitors or anything that can hold a charge on the cart itself. The only thing that we've been able to come up with thus far is that dry air in the schools may help generating static electricity. Common precautions would be 1. make sure the ground plug is still on the cord. (This can get broken off if the cart is moved with the cord still plugged into the wall.) Plugging the ground cord in won't help however if the person has to grab the door handle to open the door to get to the wall outlet. 2. If the air is dry (ie: people get shocks even without the cart or the problem goes away in the spring when the humidity goes up), gently push the metal of the cart handle against the door frame prior to reaching for the door handle. This will discharge any static electricity that was built up as the person walked with the cart safely to the door jamb prior to the person reaching for the door handle.

My flymo sabre cut keeps cuttn out every time the cord moves

Apparently you have some wiring issues ,that can be caused by the cord being stretched away from the handle...it can be rewired near the handle by someone with electrical knowledge,,,,,,must be familiar with electicity because of the power going into it by a home source and the hazzard of using it in damp or moist grass. shock hazzard

Kenmore Refg Displays DH on the screen after 24 hrs, is that a defrost problem

DH = Defrost Heater.

Kudos to kenmore for making an error message that makes sense.

Since the defroster timer turns on the defroster heater once every 24 hours, this makes sense.

Belt and assembly trouble. Please help!!

Hi,
Yes, there is a tension pulley but I"m at a loss as to how you're burning the belt, if not routed around the tensioner... seems to me you'd have a world of belt slack.
You might check and see if you can freely spin the drum, or if it seems to be locked-up. There may be an obstruction, keeping it from rotating... it shouldn't require so much effort.
Just a suggestion... Good luck.

Kenmore Portable dryer, shocking

To me it sounds like you could have the polarity reversed on the wiring. Also is the outlet that it is plugged in to grounded that alone will cause a shock to be given off, Have goods holiday, biigg53566+

Oil is no problem. The door switch/interlock is faulty. Replace door interlock. Try closing the door firmly with an extra little shove on the door handle. Sometimes this works.
