Question about Microsoft HP Compaq Presario V6101US Notebook PC
You may have to update the drivers,
Right click "Computer" then click Manage
Wait for screen to load up then click device manager and locate the wireless card. see if it is there if it has an exclamation mark then you will need to update or install the drivers.
Another problem could be that being HP it usually has some kind of software that monitors and manages the wireless connections. click the little up arrow on the bottom right hand side to see if there is any wireless connections manager running and open that up. Windows tries to handle the wireless side itself but also HP make their own software to handle it also
