If you mean music you actually purchase off of iTunes, then no, I don't believe you can... but I can't be sure, so you can try, if you'd like. Just plug in your mp3 player using your USB and open iTunes and see if iTunes recognizes the device. You'll know this by looking in the left-hand menu, where you'll see your library, etc. If there's a section called "Devices" or something along those lines where your mp3 player shows up, then great! You can literally just drag and drop your songs right onto your mp3 player in that same menu. If not, try downloading your music elsewhere. I personally prefer Limewire, as it's very easy and, best of all, FREE. :P Anyhow, I hope I at least helped in some small way. Good luck!

The Itune music files maybe in MP4 file format. MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files
Hi, your ipod displaying data and not playing might be because you did not transfer the music properly or the format of the music does not play on an ipod.
You will need a converter to help you convert songs into an ipod format. Download from the below link:
You can follow the instruction below to know how to transfer music into an ipod.::
Most common problem for new ipod user is how to put music onto ipod. So I created this ipod tips to solve this problem. Windows media player is not able to upload songs to ipod. You must use Apple iTunes to get music onto your iPod. Windows Media Player can see the iPod as a hard disk. But not able to copy upload music from pc to ipod.
The steps to put music onto an Apple iPod with itune. When you plug ipod to your pc first time through USB, you might get this pop up message. If you have already installed itune .
You need to restart your computer to install ipod and then the next time you start up, your iPod will not generate any messages of this nature. You need to install itune on your computer if you have not installed itune. You can simply go to apple.com/itunes to download the latest version. It also comes with ipod CD. The next step is to launch the iTunes program. And it will recognize the ipod that you have plugged in
It shows one message to give name to ipod, You can stick with the default name for your device or give name to ipod. I also uncheck "automatically update music" because I like to control what happens to my iPod manually. When you're done with this configuration step, click "Next" : register your iPod, or just click "Finish".
Now, finally, you can see iTunes and also your ipod inside your itune: Click on whatever name you've given to your own iPod, and you'll see your music list, which is completely blank:
Now click on the "Library" link on the left column and you'll see what albums or music you've copied into your iTunes library. Or click on the "Browse" button on the top right (it looks like an all-seeing eye) and a new panel will show up with lists of songs, artists and albums.
Now select the song you want to put on to your ipod. then dragging and dropping that onto the name of the iPod on the left side panel of your itune. Now your song are copied to ipod.
Connect your ipod to Windows System which has installed iTunes Then connect you ipod & Remove all music from Itune Library & after that sync you ipod with itunes then all music will be deleted from ipod.
I think its linux system problem so don't use linux.
i dont know the exact answer, but try making sure that the serial number is typed in correctly, and that the "sync automatically" box is checked under settings or prefrences. also make sure that its not the USB hub thats the problem.
The mp3 player's operating system is trying to load the songs which is not possible because most of the time itunes uses .aac format which is only compatible with ipods to fix plug into computer open device, and delete all the music files unplug and try turning on if sucessful plug back in ad load mp3's or wma's using windows media player
you cant put music from iTunes onto your mp3.. it doesnt work that way, you have to rip songs from a CD you already own onto your computer and then you must go into your media on your computer to do this. and then there should be a file labled the title of what the album was called.... you also need to go and click the start icon on the bottom left hand part of your screen, click the icon that says: 'My Computer' , then click on the icon that says CENSO (E;) , go to your media page and click the file of songs you wish to add to your mp3 and drag it to the mini bar at the bottom of the screen that has your mp3 info (songs and stuff, FYI dont delet anything from there that is NOT a song), your mp3 info page should pop up and then last but not least, drop your song file in any BLANK space.
