Question about Samsung SyncMaster T220 22 inch Monitor
May anybody give me a hint how to remove the black cover on the backside of the mentionned display? I removed two screws near the stand, but this results only in a little less tight front frame in the lower middle. Thanks a lot Klaus

Sorry for the delay in response...
Once you have the screws loose, they sometimes stay in the housing. That is okay as long as they are loose from the mounts. The top half only has the two screws. Once they are removed, work the seem with an opening tool, or strong fingernails. Gently pry open the seem and it will start to pop apart. Be careful in the top half because the flex for the surface buttons is attached to the outer housing or front cover. Once you have it snapped loose, you have to unplug that flex, so be careful not to tear it.
Once you have the phone apart, brush all components (not the screen) with 91% rubbing alcohol and a soft bristle brush.
If you want, you can also try leaving the phone in a bag of dry rice. That tends to wick out moisture quite well.
The only risk there is that once moisture is in a phone, it tends to start corroding. It can work fine for quite some time, and then have problems later so I recommend disassemble and clean if at all possible.

should be two screws in the back panel (not the front ) trust me! take panel off and you will see pump in middle take 3 bolts out of plate and you should be able to take hose clamps off by hand really easy

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Leave the top rear half bolted on.
Remove the rear edge screws to remove the front half, then remove the front lower section by taking out the few rear screws holding it, then there is another piece just below the screen that pulls off revealing the last few screws holding the top front screen section in the front lower edge. Take the front off, cleaning the mirror and lens will help, but I'll bet the fluid is dirty inside the blue and green tubes, look into the tubes with the TV on to check.
best of luck

Testimonial: "Thanks for your help. Still not clear about opening the TV, but I will follow your instructions> So far all I can separate from the top is about 2""
You will need to take a small flat blade screwdriver and insert it between the two halves of the case and gently pry the two apart. There are latches around the case that just need a little pressure to release. Once you get a few released the rest will pop open as you pull the halves apart. We have some pictures posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com Look in the monitor repair section. THere are several repair guides for different brands with pictures of what the release latches look like. If you have any questions just call us at: 318-447-9040
I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I thought it might be something like that, but I didn't want to risk breaking something. "
I tried to pull the base stand out - no luck. I tried to wedge a screw driver in - no luck and it looked like the screwdriver could damage the plastic if pushed harder. I finally used a wide metal paint scrapper. It went in where the screwdriver would not go and moved to base enough to allow it to pulled out the rest of the way.
