Question about Computers & Internet
******** Hard Drive,
Bad news - They are s**t to try and fix
Good news - Can be done ^_^
Firstly the almighty question, Do you have anything that you cannot replace or really need on that hard drive?
No? You can purchase a new one these days around $100 for 500GB just go into a computer store and ask for a 2.5inch laptop HDD
Yes? You can send it away to be repaired, or if you want to do it from home you can order the same hard drive (must be exact or very similar) If you take the hard drive out of the laptop and open it up carefully! there is a green circuit board thats easily accessible and easy to detach. you need another one of those exact circuit boards so you can switch it over.
When a hard drive stops working its usually the circuit board that goes, its what makes it read and write to the disk which is deeper in the enclosure and holds all your info.
Good luck and let me know how you get on
