My projection television will stay on for awhile and then the screen goes blank and the projector turns off, my satelite, my reciever, my surround sound all stays on. I am left with a blank screen with no...

When you mentioned blank does it have light on. If not check the filter for cloggging as the heat build up on the lamp can trigger a stop. Use a good forced cooling to confirm.
If the picture is clear and there is no illumination issues the bulb must be good and the issue may be power based.
If the main power supply can be cooled off , does the fault apppear, if so check the soldering of the power supply.
unless all this is confirmed the problem of the suspected bulb can stay.

Toshiba 61hx70 picture bounces and goes in and out of distortion

Most likely bulbs are failing and dirt and dust are caught up in cooling fans and in the projector of the set.

Pink line at top after bulb replacement

If you have a pink shadow (meaning you can still see the picture in it) the light engine (projector part of tv) where the bulb goes is failing. you have to replace projector. contact Sony quick as it might still be under extended warranty. They had class action lawsuit and extended warranty on many models becuase of this problem but they expire soon. Good luck.

I have a infocus X2 projector that powers on for about 15 seconds then turns off ( the light goes from green to red). What is the cause of that.

Your projector most likely has a bad ballast board(lamp power supply) that is the most common cause of this problem. The reason why this happens is because the lamp is drawing more power than usual and hence the protection circuitry will shut down the projector as precautionary measure to avoid damage to the components.

Hope this helps,

My infocus IN1 projector won't turn on anymore.

It may be the lamp is out. Normally a projector will try & fire the lamp 3-5 times then shut down with a different color light like amber or red. If the lamp doesn't light then it could be the lamp or perhaps the lamp ballast that starts the lamp has failed. A stuck fan also causes similar symptoms. There's 2-4 fans in the projector if one is stuck or bad it will turn off within 5 seconds or so after the lamp lights.
Does your lamp light at all? Are the lights a different color after it shuts down? Answers to these questions help figure out what's wrong though it's impossible to say for sure without looking at it. I service almost all Infocus projectors if you would like a quote please reply with your email address or write me at
Good Luck,
