Question about Lexmark X6650 4-In-One Wireless InkJet Printer
Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If you are, unplug the power adapter of the printer and plug it back in after 20 seconds.
If it doesn't help, reset your printer back to its factory settings:
1Turn off the printer. NOTE: Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold according to the time you set in the menu. 2From the printer conI have put al new ink and it keeps saying im low - pattlnk_732009_108-green.pngimg src="http://i.fixya.net/uploads/images/I have put al new ink and it keeps saying im low - pattlnk_732009_109-x.png.png" alt="pattlnk_732009_108-green.png" class="h_mi" />anI have put al new ink and it keeps saying im low - pattlnk_732009_107-on.pnga.net/uploads/images/pattlnk_732009_109-x.png" alt="pattlnk_732009_109-x.png" class="h_mi" /> , and then press to turn

Is the print out normal? If the print out is normal you just need to reset the software to know that you have a new cartridge.
If you open the printer cover, remove and then reinsert the cartridge you should have a message on your display asking you to align the cartridge. When you do this it will reset your ink levels.
If you are using a brand new Lexmark cartridge this should work find. If you are using a refilled cartridge then you will still see the cartridge as they are not supported on Lexmark products.

OK guys, I don't know if this will work for you but it worked for me. Here it is:
4. When the driver is installed it will ask you what ink cartridges you have. Tell it which ones you have and say they are both brand new (even if one is empty or not new). If it asks you to align the printer or print a test page, say no!
After this is complete, the installer will begin to put in the other software (i.e. fax and scan). It will pause and ask you to click next, but do not do this.
5. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, select the installer task and click end task to stop the installation process.
6. When you print for the first time, it may ask you what cartridges you have installed again. Just select the cartridges you have installed select the option from the drop-down boxes that say that both cartridges are new.
--Hope it helps since it worked for me. Good Luck

SOURCE: lexmark x1270 poor printing
Try these steps after these if you face the same problem then you need to get the cart exchanged as it may be defective as Lexmark cart comes with 6 months warranty ...
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.
1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.
# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.
